Aiden was out cold. His large body sprawled out on the cold stone floor of the dungeon. Callie paced in front of the cells, her arms folded across her chest in frustration.

“I should have been there. I should have been with Lilah.” She mutters as she pauses in front of his cell.

“No one was expecting this to happen.” I tell her, keeping my eyes focussed on him. "Would anyone expect her own son to attack her?"

“But you were able to stop him before he did something stupid.”

I ignore her comment and keep watching Aiden. “Why do you think he turned on them?”

“How would I know? Maybe it’s because of him being both. A wolf and a Lycan. No one has come across anyone like him before. Not one of us know what to expect.”

“Alpha Knox was talking about a feral stage, but he doesn’t think it's that.”
