Prologue
PROLOGUE
The beast was not home so she was able to sneak into the forest to play and sit close to the lake for a while. After a while, she decided to go home because the beast found out that she wasn't home, she was going to be punished. She opened the door and the beast awaited her.
"Where did you go," he asked and I remained silent
"Answer me girl"
"I-I-I---went"
"Stop stammering"
"I went to the lake"
"What did I tell you about going to the lake"
"Nev-er---"
"Don't you dare stammer"
"Never go to the lake"
"So why did you go"
I didn't answer
"Did your mother know"
"No," I said with fear evident in my voice
"Good," he said with a full-blown smirk
"Go to your room" he commanded
"I don't want to go"
"Go or your punishment will be worse"
I entered my room and he locked the door behind me. He removed the belt holding his trousers up. Time for the worst. He unleashed strong strokes on me.
"Jack stop beating my daughter" I heard my mum's voice from the other side of the door
"This is none of your business" the beast yelled
I didn't know what happened next because I blacked out

I dragged my traveling bag against the marble as I navigated my way through tons of people to get out of the arrival wing. Lila had told me that she would be waiting for me just outside the arrival wing but right now Lila was nowhere to be found.I walked further but I still couldn't find her. The workers at the site seemed very nice and I had a pretty good time talking and getting to know them. Right now, I was carefully making one of my infamous sandwiches since I was hungry. After putting everything together, I had a mouth-watering dinner waiting to journey down my digestive system.I dimmed the lights a little, brought out wine, and gave the living room a candlelight dinner vibe. "You said you would hang out"I whined Lila had told me that she belonged to me and now she was backing out. It wasn't fair and she wasn't even giving me any reason why she wouldn't be able to spend the day with me.
