Lily’s POV

I stood dumbfounded as Alpha Darius released my face from his grip. I looked at Selene and saw her eyes burning in anger. That was when it dawned on me that what I was actually avoiding had happened. I knew she was going to punish me by making life in the palace more miserable for me than it was before.

I stood confused for a while as Selene looked at us in silence as my heart pondered on whether I should run out the room or remain inside.
