Lily’s POV

I stood dumbfounded as Alpha Darius released my face from his grip. I looked at Selene and saw her eyes burning in anger. That was when it dawned on me that what I was actually avoiding had happened. I knew she was going to punish me by making life in the palace more miserable for me than it was before.

I stood confused for a while as Selene looked at us in silence as my heart pondered on whether I should run out the room or remain inside. She let go of the door knob as she banged the door angrily behind her, the room vibrated and the windows shooked from the impact of the door on the frame tightly fixed on the wall.

She charged towards us as though she was going to pounce on me, and my wolf growled silently as though it sensed that all wasn’t well. I knew Alpha Darius would never allow her to touch me, not when he was right there with me.
