Vamps vs. Wolves

Me and the vamp had only met once, well before this situation, and that was the day the war really began. See, my father and every other elder in my pack believe that the war started whenever vamps and werewolves were made; that we were just naturally opposed being that we are opposites. The vamps are slaves to the sun and us wolves are slaves to the moon. Anyways younger and more intelligent souls, like me, believe that we lived in a sort of mutual hatred before the situation of the vampire queen.

She was a beautiful, elegant young or, technically very old queen and even I and all of the other pups respected her at the time. Blonde, almost white hair, so shiny it would blind you and so caring, nonviolent, unlike her dick husband.

“ Nice to see you too, wolves, “ the vampire prince said.

“ You better have a damn good reason why you’re in our territory again or else—” JJ said

“ Or else what?” Joline interrupted, “ you’ll rip his head off? “ she scoffs looking up from her phone.

“ Exactly, thanks Joe, “ He said rolling his eyes.

“ I’d like to talk to the one in charge because it obviously is not you, “ the vampire said sticking his skinny finger at JJ’s chest.

JJ backed away furious. He had to know his place or else he would get in a hell of a lot of trouble from, not only me but my father.

I raised my hand quickly, “ Katherine, “ I said

“ Ethan, “ he said sternly looking me up a down: analyzing me.

“ Ok, so what’d you like to talk to me about? “ I said annoyed after moments of silence.

“ Would your pack like to come in and be peaceful or would you like to leave, “ he said seriously.

“ What do you mean? This is our territory! “ I fumed

“ I don’t want to be like our parents. I would like to propose a new way of handling our little, “ he paused to think, “ disagreement, “

“ You call the werewolves serving your mother’s head on a platter a disagreement? “ one of the bloodsuckers said.

Suddenly, Ethan’s eyes went dark. I can’t explain it. It’s like the light reflecting from his eyes had gone. His veins popped out of his pale skin.

Ethan grabbed the vamp’s throat. It was more of a threat than a life-ending mechanism since, you know, vampires can’t die unless you stake them

“ If you ever, ever, talk about my mother again I will gut you right here right now. You hear me?! “ Ethan shouted

“ Y-yes, sir, “ he mumbled.

“ Louder! “ Ethan said squeezing a little tighter.

“ Yes, sir, “ he said looking Ethan dead in the eyes

We all went silent. We all remembered that fateful day when his mother died. It was hard for us werewolves, so I can’t imagine how hard it was for Ethan. I hadn’t seen nor talked to him in at least 14 years.

The werewolves didn’t even bother saying it wasn’t us that served her head on the platter. It was the omega that used to be in our pack who went rogue.

“ Anyways, “ he said letting down the vamp, “ I would like to be different than our parents. I believe we can have a party without killing each other. Do you? “

“ I agree about being different than our parents. Were not here to kill, guys, “ I said turning to my pack, “ God we were acting like our parents. Let’s be different and stop the hatred, okay? “

I felt on top of the world leading a pack like that. I felt respected for the first time in a while.

We may not like each other or agree on everything, but we could learn how to stand for each other.
