When Anita got to her room, she helped her mother with her bath then tucked her into bed. She sat on the bed thinking about the events of the day, she sighed helplessly then got up from the bed and started packing. She wondered what they would need out there, he thought of it as camping then started packing all the comfortable clothes they had and sleeping bags. She left all the beautiful high hills they owned because they would have no need for them in the jungle.
She then packed toiletries for both of them but she knew that it was useless as they will run out eventually, she shook her head getting rid of that negative thought, she had hope that someone out there was going to help them sooner or later. When she finished packing it was already around midnight, she went and took
Morning came and Anita woke up early then got out of the cave. She took the time to look around and saw that the place is not that bad. It was late when they got here and she was tired. She never got the chance to look around and see what kind of place it was. This was their new home after all and she needed to know everything there is to know about it. She cleaned a bit after taking a tour of the place, she then got back to the cave where her mother was and found her still sleeping. ‘Well, Linsey, take us to where we can find food, my mother will wake up soon.’ She told her wolf and she shifted to her wolf form. ‘What would you like to eat, Rabbit?’ she asked ‘No, we can get that for lunch on our way back, let’s find something light.’
A month has passed since Anita and her mother started living the life of rogues. Life for them has been challenging, to say the least, Anita has been the one to go out and hunt or fish in order for them to eat. She even found leaves they could eat in the forest, she knew now what they could and could not eat. They have not encountered any rogues in the area so far and she was happy with that. There was no change in her mother, she even stopped rumbling now she was just mute. Anita was not as hurt by it as she was before, she was getting used to her being that way, she also had no one to talk to but her wolf, Linsey. A week after they arrived she was not used to life, so she took some of the valuables they owned and walked with her mother for hours to town.
“Come on Nate, we are already late!” Divan called for his alpha while going up the stairs to look for him, he picked up his scent as he passed his office and turned back opening the door. He found him lying on the big leather couch in his office with his eyes closed. “Nathan! Come on we have to leave.” He lazily opened his eyes and looked at his beta.“Can’t you go with Steven? I really don’t feel like going to this meeting?” he asked while still laying there. “We have to go, some of our businesses are in Rosewood and most of our students here go to Rosewood university. So, we can’t be disrespectful when their alpha asks for a meeting.” Divan reminded him; the Silver sands pack had students attending university at
Living as a savage sometimes has its benefits, like knowing the plants and what their use is. This came especially in handy when Anita had to help the alpha with his wounds. That day she took him back to the cave, she cleaned his wounds which had started healing because of his wolf’s ability to heal injuries, however, it was not healing as fast as a normal wound would because this one was deep. After cleaning his wound, she used one of the leaves from the trees around and made a paste with it applying it to his wound then covered it with another leaf. She repeated the process for about three days before proper healing from his wolf started. The alpha was weak and slept most of the time due to the liquid she
When Nathan got to his pack lands then shifted behind the trees and walked to the packhouse, he could feel the heaviness in his pack, werewolves walked around with their heads hanging low, they did not even notice him as he passed. That made him wonder if something happened in his absence. “Alpha!” Layla saw him first when he got inside the packhouse and screamed making the other wolves look in their direction.Only then did they notice their alpha, they went to him and a hurry with smiles on their faces. Layla pushed through and went to him in an attempt to hug him. Nathan growled at her making her stop in her tracks, the other wolves gave each other questioning looks, Layla was hurt and disappointed that Nathan treated her that way. “I am sorry but I have to
After Nathan finished talking to his father, he went to the office and spoke to his beta Divan. He told him everything that happened, Divan was still quiet after listening to everything his alpha and friend told him. There was one thing on his mind, that he is alone now, the only one who has not found his mate. “So, you found your mate and she is a rogue.” Stated Divan.“Yes, I found her, look man I know that we have been waiting for our mates for so long and if I have found mine then it is only a matter of time before you find yours.” Nathan tried to comfort his friend, even though he knew that whatever he says will not be enough and he knew the feeling of watching others find their mates while you can’t find yours.
While Nathan was still seating there thinking of ways to get through to Anita, he caught the scent of rogues, which brought him back to his senses, this was not his pack lands, this is rogue territory. He stood up irritated, he had no time to be fighting with rogues, he had bigger issues to deal with. He took his fighting stance none the less. The two rogues could smell that he was not one of them, he was a pack wolf and it looked like he was alone. They bared their canines and growl at him. Nathan let out his own menacing growl then let his alpha power flow. “Ahh, an alpha, interesting.” Said one of the rogues then pounced on him, Nathan was already stressed by his mate not acknowledging him and he took all that out on the rogues.
When the other rogue woke up, his friend filled him in on what happened and he did not hesitate following suit, submitting to Anita as his alpha. Nathan was proud of her but she had another plan in mind and that is to expose her uncle then avenge her father. That man was going to pay for what he did to her father, her mother is like this because of him and she was living like a savage because of him. He had to pay. “You know, instead of killing these rogues you can recruit them.” He told her but she frowned. “Listen to me first before you shoot the idea down, since you don’t want to come with me, then why don’t you recruit these rogues and train them. You a pretty good fighter and if you train them you can use them when you go back to your pack.&rd
