Chapter 88

I got back home after a very long and rigorous journey. My mind was already in the bedroom as my back was exhausted but the traffic in Lagos was unrivaled and wouldn't let me be great. But finally I was home, or Aminu's house.

I entered the doors and saw red and pink rose petals scattered on the floor. What was that silly child up to now?

I followed the rose petals up to the living room, smiling and anticipating what was waiting for me wherever the trail ended.

"What is this?" I muttered before I entered the living room. The room's lights were off and there were lit candles everywhere. Aminu was nowhere in sight but the rose petals still continued up the stairs so I followed it. I was getting too anxious now and my slow steps weren't helping matters.

The whole house smelt amazing which meant that the rose petals were actually real roses not fake ones.
