Kaihu- Book One- Chapter Thirty

I continued to follow Galen as he traveled the direction the darkness was and continued beyond. I could see a mountain appearing in the distance on the horizon. ‘We are heading to that mountain. That is where the portal is to Kaihu.’

I nodded and then my focus was on some movements in the sky. “Is that what I think it is?” I said out loud, and Galen followed my gaze and saw what I was seeing.

“Yes, I believe it is, Soldiers on tayrens. Rayna, we are in for an air battle. Are you up for it?”

Was I? Fighting on the ground is one thing but in the air? I was unsure of it. I guess Galen sensed my hesitation because he said, “Don’t worry sweet heart. We can do this together.”
