*Olivia Jillian Hunters’ POV*
---
“Answer me, Sydney.”
Silence...
“Hey, I asked you a question. I need an answer.” I ordered the girl when she acted like she didn't hear me and got on with doing something on the paper like she found it more worthy of her attention than me asking her to be my girlfriend.
What is wrong with her?
“Come on, Syd, I know you want to. We would be a perfect team.” I continued trying to convince her, but she just went to talk with Max about our purpose in going here.
I crossed my arms on my chest, feeling so grumpy, and I sat on the counter, and then I laid down on my ba
*Sydney Roswell’s POV*---“This is you, isn't it?” The familiar woman asked me, looking straight in my face like she was scanning it, and I don't know how to deny her claim.I looked closely at the picture in her hold that she showed me, and I remembered that I was inside OJ’s little brother’s room in this shot. And I presume they have CCTV there. Very nice!I took a deep breath to keep calm, and I stuttered in reply, “Uh… well, I….”Then I turned my gaze to OJ, who had been trying to wave both her hands near Mimi’s face, and I tried to think hard about how I would explain everything to this woman and how to convince her not to let these policemen take me to the st
*Sydney Roswell’s POV*---“Mimi, do you happen to know anything about OJ’s mom? About where she is right now? We wondered if she knew about her daughter’s horrible condition. And maybe she could stop her ex-husband with the plan of letting OJ die. We will find her.” I curiously asked the woman, hoping that she knew a thing so that our search agenda would be easier.“Oh, I’m so sorry, girls. I had never heard anything about Nica since that moment she left about eleven years ago. I wish I could help you. Don't worry. I’ll try what I can do, too. I’m going to ask Oliver about it.” She answered, and I saw OJ made a sad face and sighed.I nodded my head in response and thanked the woman.
*Olivia Jillian Hunters’ POV*---Did she just come out of the closet? No way!Gay. She's gay? She’s gay. Oh, my gay!Right now, I just don’t know what to say.Does this mean… I… We... Could be… Oh, Sydney. She can finally be my baby!“What the heck did you just say to your homies? Were you trying to say that you… you like girls? You’re gay?” I asked her to confirm it as we stepped into her room, and she sat on her bed. She didn't say a word and just went to lie on her back.“C'mon, Syd! Answer me! What the hell was that?” I asked her again when she acted like she did
*Sydney Roswell’s POV* --- “Ouch! What the heck is your problem?” I cursed and winced in pain as my butt touched the floor after I opened my eyes and saw OJ’s face was so close to mine. I fell from my bed because her lips were like two inches away from touching mine, and who wouldn’t be surprised as hell? I got up from the floor, and I sharply looked at her, who was sitting on my bed, cross-legged, and with a grin on her super happy face. Her grin turned into a chuckle that later became a laugh, and I showed her an annoyed look on my face. I had just woken up, and it's still so early in the morning to be messing up with people. Was she trying to kiss me earlier? Or had she kissed me alr
*Olivia Jillian Hunters’ POV* --- “Fine. This will go a little shocking or rather flabbergasting. Are you sure you want to hear it?” Sydney began after taking in a deep breath, and I nodded my head in response while feeling quite excited and happy at the same time. “Of course! Come on. I won’t freak out. I promise.” I answered and showed her a warm smile, encouraging her to tell me. The nervous girl walked to her bed and sat at the edge, and then she let out a sigh, looking at me. “I like you. Yeah, you’re right. I really do like you, OJ.” She confessed, making my mouth hang open in surprise and delight. She said it. Yes, she said it! She likes me back! Am I in reality? Oh, h
*Sydney Roswell’s POV*---“Who are you with, Syd?” Emma asked me again while trying to peek at the entrance to my attic, and I tried to relax as there was nothing that I should worry about. There is nothing they could see, and I should just find the perfect excuse to redirect their suspicion of anything.“Uh… Nothing. No one.” I stuttered, and all three of them looked at me knowingly while OJ crossed her arms on her chest, sat on my bed, and remarked, “You’re a bad liar, Syd. You know that so well. Just relax and tell them the truth. I’m sure they will drop this matter in no time.”Good for her to suggest since she’s not the one on the hot seat. And she’s not the one who these idiots knew so well for so long.
*Sydney Roswell’s POV* --- “Hey, Syd! Do you want me to drive you to the airport later?” Adam asked as he descended the stairs and slipped in his white T-shirt. I looked his way and shook my head. “Uh, no. Thanks, by the way.” I replied and looked back at Vidia’s notebook in my hold, where there were lots of numbers with symbols beside them. “Oh, okay. So… did you tell your pals already? Do you, guys, know that she’s…?” He answered and asked my friends here in the living room, but Kevin finished his question. “Going to Chicago? Yeah, we know, Couz. She told us already.” “Uh, no. What I mean is… she’s gay, too. You both are so gon
*Olivia Jillian Hunters’ POV*---“Did you book a first-class flight so that you could just look at your notebook the whole time we'd be flying, Syd?” I asked the quiet girl, who was sitting in front of me, where there’s a table in between us. And she lifted her gaze from the notebook on her lap to me, and I showed her a cheeky smile.“Excuse me, what is that supposed to mean?” She asked and looked at me for a moment, and her focus went back to her notebook.Nice.Well, there's a better view outside the window, yet she chose to close it and got her full attention on her notebook. I wonder if she's studying or… doing something else. I couldn't care less.
