LOGINTessa’s heart pounded violently in her chest. “Al… Alpha Black is getting married?” She finally managed to say, staring intently at them.
She had always known at some point that her relationship with Black would become public. But she hadn’t expected it to happen so suddenly, especially when they hadn’t agreed on how or when to reveal it. “Yes bitch! What world do you even live in? Don’t you watch the news?” Elara asked dramatically. Sophia chuckled. “I doubt she does.” Tessa’s face went red. “You don’t have to throw it in my face. I’ve just been busy lately, so I haven’t had time to keep up with gossip.” she muttered. “But is this actually real? I mean, this isn’t the first time we’ve heard rumours like this. How do we know it’s not just another false story?” Tessa asked, still finding it hard to believe that the world already knew about her and Black. “Oh, this is very real, okay?” Elara said with a sheepish smile. “The news was everywhere last night, and his sister confirmed it this morning. It’s literally the talk of the town.” “H-his sister?” Tessa repeated, her cheeks turning even redder. Black’s sister was someone she had always admired from afar, and hearing that she approved of their relationship eased some of her fears and made her forget her anxiety about the public finding out about them. “Even though I’m really sad that Alpha Black is officially off the market and we can’t flirt with him anymore, I’m happy that he finally got to be with someone he loves,” Elara said dreamily before her eyes suddenly landed on Tessa’s hand. “Wait… is that a diamond ring? Let me see!” She said pointing at the gorgeous ring excitedly. “Yeah, me too! I never got a proper look at it.” Sophia leaned forward. “Oh my God, Tess… are you getting married?” Tessa blushed and tucked a loose curl behind her ear before stepping closer and showing them the ring. “Oh my God, Tess, this is gorgeous. I bet it cost thousands of dollars,” Sophia whispered. “Yeah, now I’m wondering what Alpha Black got for his fiancée. I bet he bought her something insane… maybe even the Jewel of the Blue Sea.” Elara chipped in. Tessa felt her heart stumble in her chest. She thought they knew already. “Wait… you all don’t know?” She asked. The two girls looked at her in confusion. “Know what?” Sophie asked. Tessa quickly shook her head. “Sorry, I mean… you all don’t know who Alpha Black’s fiancée is?” Elara let out a sigh. “Of course not. Nobody knows who she is yet. But I bet she’s definitely one of those rich Alpha daughters from a powerful pack or some wealthy family company, right, Sophia?” “Obviously,” Sophia nodded confidently. “That’s what always happens in stories and movies. The rich Alpha marries a rich she-wolf to strengthen alliances between packs, and then they just keep getting richer.” Tessa swallowed hard. “I… I need to go.” “Already?” Sophia frowned. “I thought you’d stay and chat with us a little longer. Besides, once work starts, we won’t get another chance.” “Sorry, I have duties to attend to,” Tessa replied and gave them a smile that didn’t quite reach her eyes before turning and leaving the kitchen, completely forgetting the morning tea she had planned to drink before starting work. Entering the omegas quarters, Tessa immediately searched through her handbag for her phone. Coming face to face with the screen, she felt a gallop in her chest when she didn’t see any miss calls or messages from Black. Normally he would have called her by now or at least sent her a text, but for the past three days he hadn’t called once and she hadn’t seen him anywhere in the pack house either. Plopping down on the chair behind her, Tessa took a deep breath and opened her browser. Before she could even type anything she saw it pop up as one of the trending topics on her list. Her fingers hesitated for a moment before she tapped on it. She took her time reading through the articles. It was just as Sophie and Elara had said. The young alpha was getting married and the wedding was scheduled to happen in just a few days, but the identity of the bride remained anonymous. A small smile crept to her lips, knowing Black did that to respect her privacy. In as much as she was eager to know if Black’s parents had finally approved of her, she stopped herself from calling Black wanting to hear the news from him in person. She was just about to exit the browser and return to work when a text notification appeared on her screen. It was from the head omega telling her to come to her office immediately. Tessa frowned. Wondering what it could be about, she exited the browser, straightened her skirt and left the room, heading towards the office where Helen, the head omega was waiting. Soon she got there and knocked lightly. Come in.” Tessa pushed open the door and stepped inside. Helen sat behind her desk with a strange expression on her face. “Morning, Miss Helen,” Tessa greeted politely. But instead of replying, Helen sighed and slid an envelope across the desk. “Read it,” she said flatly. Tessa brows furrowed and she felt a strange feeling settle in her chest. Slowly, she picked up the envelope and opened it, pulling out the paper inside. Following the Alpha’s seal was a sack letter directly addressed to Miss Tessa Morgan. Tessa froze with her eyes glued to the paper as if reading it again would somehow change the words. Termination of employment, approved and signed by Alpha Black Wesley.“Please, you can’t do this to me. This is my home. You must have the wrong address.” Tessa sniffled, already on the verge of tears. Her eyes already hurt from the amount of times she had already cried today.“I already told you ma’am, we have no business with you. We are only acting on the Alpha’s orders. We were instructed to clear out the place today as another person will be moving in this evening.”“No… no, there has to be some mistake. Black would never do this to me. Look…” she said, holding up the ring on her finger. “Black gave me this ring when he proposed to me a days ago. He and I are getting married… so there’s no way he would do this to me, please tell the other men to take my things back inside. I just need my space right now.”“Look ma’am, whatever relationship you believe you have with Alpha Black, you’ll need to discuss that with him. We’ll only stop if the Alpha tells us to. Other than that, I’m sorry. Excuse me.”Tessa stared helplessly as she watched him approach
Tessa was just about to storm out of the pack house when she spotted one of the pack members walking inside. She quickly recognized him as one of the male wolves who worked in the Alpha’s mansion and immediately approached him.“Is Alpha Black in the mansion?” she asked Jacob the moment she reached him.“No Tess. He hasn’t been around the pack for days.”Tessa frowned. “Are you sure? What about his betas?”“They aren’t here either,”Knowing that was so unlike Black, Tessa unlocked her phone and dialed Black. The call had barely started ringing when the entrance doors suddenly opened.“There he is, Tess,” Jacob said, glancing toward the entrance. “But why are you looking for the Alpha?”Tessa didn’t bother replying and quickly turned toward the entrance. To her surprise, she saw Black walking into the building, flanked by his two betas Liam and Lorenzo, and by his side was a tan skinned lady. She looked like she had stepped straight out of a magazine cover. Not only did she have flawle
Tessa had no idea how long she had been staring at the letter before she finally snapped out of it and slowly lifted her gaze back to Helen.“I know you’ve never liked me Helen, but that doesn’t give you the right to play this kind of prank on me,” Tessa said quietly, staring at her.Helen chuckled, crossing her legs the way she was seated on her chair. “You think this is a prank? Didn’t you see the Alpha’s seal on the letter?”“That’s exactly why this is ridiculous, because I know Alpha Black would never do something like this to me.”Helen let out a short laugh, “why? Because you’re fucking him?” Tessa’s heart almost stopped. How did she know about that?Helen smirked. “Why are you so shocked? Did you think no one would ever find out?” Tessa felt her chest tighten. That was impossible. There was no way Helen could know. She and Black had made sure to keep their relationship hidden. They only met outside the pack whenever she had time off work. The only moments they interacted ins

A Few Days AgoBlack was sitting behind his desk, typing away on his laptop when a soft knock suddenly echoed through the room.“Come in,” he said without looking up from his screen. The person on the other end obeyed, entered and slowly closed the door behind her.“Still working?” the very familiar voice asked softly, making him lift his gaze from his screen.“Just reading through the email Alpha Kade sent to me, but I’m glad you’re here.”“Are you now?” the woman said with a small smile making him pause what he was doing and look up as she approached his desk area. Her eyes never left him even as she settled into the visitor’s chair across from him.“I’ve told you not to sit there when it’s just the two of us. Come here,” Black commanded the moment her ass connected with the chair, his alpha aura rolling off his body just a tiny bit.“But what if someone walks in?” Tessa whispered, taking a quick glance at the door.“That’s for me to worry about, come to papa.” He gestured for her
