“Dad!” I cried and scooted away in fear. “You startled me” I scratched my ear, my face morphing into a half-smile.
He grinned and observed me closely “Something tells me you have been avoiding me. Should I be worried?”
I made a surprise face “Avoiding you? Of course not, Dad. Why would I do that?”
“I asked myself the same thing until I realized you have no reason to avoid me”
“Yea” I went closer, swinging my arms abnormally. I was working hard to steady myself but it wasn't working. Either he had me sorted out or he was trying to unnerve me. Either way, I wasn't helping matters.
“I had hoped we would see last night when I came in. But the young man said you were asleep”
“Yea I was. Dad he's name is Leonard” I informed him perchance he forgot.
He scoffed “ I couldn't care less if it was Toad”

Epilogue The party was suave. And so was the initiation. After the full moon, all the wolves had transformed and then I watched in amazement as Leonard went to the little dune if send in front of his house and transformed after that, he howled into the moon followed by the other wolves who began to howl with him. After all, that, came my initiation. It was the terrific moment I have waited for all this while.
