THE MEET-UP

She was nervous, she hadn’t expected to feel this way. They had agreed to meet the following day. Which suited her perfectly, she wanted to get this chapter closed as soon as possible. James was away on business for the week, which was perfect as she couldn’t deal with explaining to him. She also didn't want to cause any misunderstandings with James. James was a sweetheart but he was also a very complicated person and took no nonsense, he was the cold CEO type.

She was pacing up and down in the apartment’s TV room. She was trying to calm herself but nothing seemed to be working. Mia couldn’t be here today as she couldn’t get off at work. She however could decide the hours she worked as she normally had a lot of client meetings out of the office hence it wasn’t strange for her to be away from the office. She tried working to keep her mind and hands busy, however she failed to concentrate hence the pacing up and down. She had done her makeup twice, her hands were shaking quite a bit. All waterproof as she wasn’t sure if she would cry as she’s been very emotional since she met him and she couldn’t be looking and feeling a mess. It’s had to be one or the other, she chose the latter.

Looking good was always a good place to start. It always gave her a confidence booster and she needed a big boost today. She decided to wear a plain black Chanel three piece suit, with a black Chanel belt with a golden buckle and a plain white Zara shirt. She put on her everyday bangle stack from Van Cleef. She decided on her white Kelly mini for a bag. With every item she put on she felt more confident. She was a warrior woman. She was fierce, a beast on heels. She said her words of affirmation to herself in the mirror. Completing her everyday mantra to boost her confidence. She felt like she got this. She would make him regret breaking up with her ten years ago and regret not having her now! Her alarm went off, it was 9 o’clock time for her to leave for the appointment with Alex.

She was too nervous to drive so she decided to book an Uber to their meetup point. Alex had asked they meet at the beach. Back to the place where they ended things, maybe it was symbolic for him. For her this would be the perfect ending, where she would leave all old feelings behind. She just hopes she would remain strong no matter what he would tell her. The Uber pulled up to the beach, she could see Alex standing there waiting for her.
