I sat down with my legs crossed on the chair and threw the papers at Isaac. He took them with an angry snort.

“Divorce papers?’ His eyes widened at the sight.

I didn’t falter but stretched a pen toward him instead.

Regina took the papers in a hurry, she must have been impatient to become the next Mrs. Jacob.

“Once you sign this, we’re over. And your darling Regina can move in,” I told Isaac.

He read through the whole thing and lifted his gaze sharply at me.“You must have lost your mind if you think I would sign this,” he fired.

I scoffed.

“Aren’t you eager to marry her?” I asked.

His eyes darted to Regina and back to me, he threw the papers back. “I am not divorcing you,” he declared.

Regina’s face tightened instantly.

“What?!” she thundered, getting to her feet.

Isaac quickly turned to her and tried to calm her down. He tried as much as possible to keep his voice low.

“I know that’s what we both want, but divorcing my wife now would mean losing everything,” he stated.

“You’re still calling her your wife,” she fired angrily, pushing him away.

Isaac sighed, he grabbed Regina by the shoulders.

“You can’t stay here,” he said.

Regina was thrown into shock again, she widened her eyes at him. “Are you really afraid of her? She’s just bluffing.”

I let out a chuckle, they both turned to me.

“You’re enjoying this?” Isaac asked angrily.

I nodded. “Of course. This is fun,” I told him.

“You’re not going to win this,” Regina said under her breath, charging forward.

I ignored her and got up. I picked up the divorce papers and tossed them behind me as I walked away. “Whenever you’re ready.”

As I walked back upstairs, I heard the two arguing loudly, a smirk crept onto my lips. Just now, I saw the look in my darling husband’s eyes.

That cowardly gaze.

He wasn’t ready to bear the burden of being with Regina, and sooner or later, he was going to toss her aside.

I walked into the mall, my husband’s card rested in my hand. He had given it to me while playing the loving husband, but being a fool, I had never really spent from it. I had only bought groceries with it.

Today, I was going to squander as much as I could.

An attendant walked up to me. “How can I help you, ma’am?” she asked with a smile.

“Give me everything.” I stated and handed her the card.

The attendant smiled broadly and led me into the main showroom. I took my seat and ordered a glass of champagne while I picked whatever was shown to me.

My peaceful moment was interrupted by a loud yell. I frowned, wondering who was making such a nuisance, just as I stepped out, I saw Regina about to slap one of the attendants.

I stepped forward and grabbed her hand. Her eyes darted to me quickly, and rage spread across her face.

“You?” she pointed. “What are you doing here?”

I ignored her.

“Did she steal from you?” I asked the girls.

They shook their heads, the one who was about to get slapped spoke. “Her card was declined, and she wouldn’t listen,”

I turned to Regina.

“Did you run out of money? I can’t believe Isaac would leave you stranded,” I taunted.

Her face twisted into a scowl. “Isaac would never,” she spat.

Then she crossed her arms arrogantly. “He loves me so much. That’s why he has always chosen me,” she bragged.

I leaned back a little, pretending to be stunned by her words. Then I let out a hard chuckle.

“Is that so?”

Regina kept her chin high.

“Then why is he cheating on you?” I asked.

Her face clouded over, she stared in confusion for a moment, but then she scowled again.

“You’re making things up. Isaac would never,” she said confidently.

I tried to muffle my laughter, but I lost it and filled the air with it. Regina’s frown deepened and a calm smile crept onto my face.

She really was a fool.

For four years, Isaac had been sleeping with her while still being married to me. Not once during those years had he considered divorcing me to marry her.

I took a step closer.

“Isaac is sterile,” I revealed.

Regina’s expression vanished instantly. Of course, she didn’t know that.

“You lied to him about him being the father of your son. Do you think he trusts you?” I asked.

Her face turned paler, and her mouth hung open.

I took another step closer, leaning toward her ear. “If he could cheat with you, don’t you think he can cheat on you with someone else?”

I turned to meet her gaze, Regina staggered, looking horrified.

The truth hit her hard. She shook her head vigorously.

“No… no!” she yelled.

“That’s impossible. Isaac would never…” she couldn’t finish the sentence.

My smirk grew.

Oh, poor Regina, you were just a pawn in Isaac’s little chess game.

Together, we both gazed at the television, watching Regina who had just being arrested as she tried to escape the country. Peter turned to me. “Thank you for saving my life” he said with gratitude heavy in his eyes. A smile formed on my face slowly. “We were both victims of bad spouses. It’s the least I could do”After watching the video, I had contacted him to inform him about the poison. Knowing Regina, it wasn’t a poison that would kill at once. It would be something slow to end Peter’s life so she could take his wealth after playing the dutiful wife for a while. “I owe you a big favor.” Peter said. “Tell me whatever you want, I will make it happen”I shook my head. Lola’s POVI booked a table at the restaurant for some team bonding. After a moment, Whitney stood up and went to the bathroom. I waited for a moment before I stood up and also went into the bathroom. I pushed the door open and stepped inside. Whitney was standing in front of the mirror, carefully applying a fresh coat of lipstick. The moment our eyes met through the reflection, she froze, the lipstick trembled slightly in her hand. For a second, neither of us spoke. I closed the door the door behind me and walked toward her slowly, my heels clicking softly against the marble floor. A smile curved my lips, she lowered the lipstick, swallowing nervously. I stopped beside her and gently took the lipstick from her fingers. “It’s uneven” I said calmly.I turned her slightly toward the mirror end and with deliberate slowness, I applied the lipstick to her lips.
