I smelled them a moment before Codyn entered the cave looking frantic. Kayden’s men. They were close. They had found us.

“We have to go, NOW,” Codyn told us, grabbing Scarlyt’s hand and leading us outside. I saw Oryn waiting for us and he reached out for me and took my hand before we sprinted into the woods.

“Where do we go?” I asked him as we ran away from the scents of the warriors following us. They could smell Codyn and Scarlyt, they could track us. I attempted to block Scarlyt’s scent but I couldn’t manage to do Codyn’s and decided it was useless unless I could do both.
