After waking up to Boo licking my face, I was already 10 mins late when I realized Wyatt wasn't up. I could only guess what I would be walking in on and how awkward that would be for Bri and my Alpha.

When I made it to the doorway I found them basked in the light of Sug's moonlight, one of the new books I picked up at the library on the nightstand. He was curled around her, the cover kicked back, his nose snuggled into the croc of her neck. In 10 years I have never seen him more peaceful. Her arm tucked around his, Wyatt's hand engulfing hers. His leg tucked between hers pressed up close and personal to the most intimate parts of Bri's being. I swallowed, but if I didn't wake him, Landry would have my head and our jobs, it was the deal that afforded us the flexibility we needed to be present with the boys, one of us would always promptly replace the other.
