Chapter One

"Where is my wife, Is she alright? Is the kid born yet?" asked the man who just arrived at an old house all wet due to the rain.

"She is in labour Ezekiel, it won't be late you will be hearing the baby crying any minute" said the lady who was standing outside the old house.

"It's a bad storm, of all days storm had to come today only" said Ezekiel cleaning his face.

Ezekiel who was a mere farmer lived in a small village known as Hisag which was situated at the foothills of mountain.

Hisag was known to be farmer's village where people will only grow food crops and would often use it to trade for other essentials, it was a peaceful village. Hisag was known for it's tradition and culture, it's said in ancient times people of Hisag was warriors who fought in wars of Gods and Demons and brought peace on earth but it was just a rumour presently the scenario has changed now it's just a peaceful village of farmers.

"It's here, it's a healthy boy" said the old lady from inside the house "but he isn't crying".

The man quickly got inside the house, he could see old lady holding a new born in her hands, he could see the baby looking at him slowly moving his little fingers as to hold Ezekiel. Ezekiel leaped towards the baby and holded him in his hands.

"How is my wife?" asked joyful Ezekiel.

"Your wife fainted after she gave birth to your son, she will be up after sometime" said the old lady cleaning her hands "you must take the baby to the shrine for elders to look at him".

"Yes! Yes! I will take my son to the shrine you stay here and take care of my wife" said Ezekiel to the lady.

Ezekiel quickly covered his new born son in cloth and moved out of the house. Ezekiel was taking his son to the shrine, it was believed whenever a kid in Hisag was born he was to look at by the elders who would tell about the fortunes the kid hold, it was an old tradition of Hisag.

Ezekiel reached the shrine, he called for elders who was meditating inside the shrine.

"This is my son, he was born just minutes ago, please bless him and tell us about his fortune"Ezekiel said looking at the elders.

Elders took the new born baby in their hands, they gazed at him for a while, their expression was changed after sometime.

"What happened? Is he alright? asked Ezekiel to elders.

"Your son holds different aura then any other villager, it's an aura of warriors" said elders shockingly "Your child isn't a normal human, he is a child of prophecy"

"Child of prophecy! Not normal! What you mean by that" asked Ezekiel who didn't knew what was going on.

Elders told Ezekiel and others how a prophecy was made in ancient times which said a child would be born with a great power, the child will bring end to all the sufferings and pain of humans. "He is a reincarnation of our ancestors" said elder.

Ezekiel didn't knew what was happening, his mind couldn't compensate all the things that was happening in front of him, he didn't knew how to act, all confused he asked elders "Is my son warrior"

"Not only a warrior, your son is a ruler who will end all the catastrophies and will maintain peace throughout the world" said elders looking at Ezekiel.

"Please name my child and bless him" said Ezekiel bowing his head in front of elders

"He will be called Athen, his name will be spread all over kingdoms, his might will be known everywhere" said elder.

"Athen! It's a good name" said Ezekiel.

Ezekiel took Athen back to home with him, his wife Maria was awake by now, he told Maria about everything the elders said, Maria was confused but they decided not to dwell into this destiny of their kid.

18 years passed away

"Athen! Athen! Where are you" shouted Maria at top of her voice

"I am here mother" said the boy quietly hiding behind the table "I am scared to play with them, they are terrifying mother" 

"They are just kids Athen, you are older then them, they are no match for you" said Maria to Athen

"Your son doesn't seem to be the child of prophecy after all" said the lady who was outside the house.

"Yes probably the Elders made mistake, he is even scared of the kids" said Maria laughing "It doesn't matter if he is a kid of prophecy or not me and my husband loves him alot".

Athen had big blue eyes and long hairs, his body was not huge but wasn't weak either, he got muscles working in field, Athen grew up to be a scared kid, he was too aristocratic for his age,  he was close to his parents the most, Athen would even cry if he saw others fighting with each other, he was gentle towards other and would often the one who was laughed at for his behaviour. But Athen didn't cared about all this he just wanted to live peacefully and calmly he was someone who won't use weapons to achieve peace, he would just beg for peace and forgiveness.

Athen used to work with his father on their fields, the family didn't had any problem, they was growing much crop to feed themselves and also trade it for other things. Everything was going good and this is what Athen always wanted, for things to go smooth without any problems.

But it seemed like the world didn't wanted the same for Athen, Hisag came under the Kingdom of Shogo which was ruled by the King Balak who was cruel and was known for his cruelty over his people. Balak was one of the six king brothers each brother had an kingdom, the six kingdoms was one big kingdom in ancient times ruled by their ancestors their family was known for its cruelty and monstrousity, the former king divided the kingdom into six parts and each one was assigned to his sons.

One day Athen like his normal days went to work on fields his father didn't came to work that day, Athen didn't knew what was coming his way, after completing the work Athen went back, while going back he didn't saw any kids or women or men working in fields, it was strange he thought but he managed to move ahead.

He reached the village and saw that village didn't looked the same as before, earlier it seemed peaceful with everything in order but now it seemed like a storm just hit the whole Hisag the houses seemed to be broken, doors smashed, windows broken. Athen knew something was wrong he rushed to his house, he saw the door was broke, he went inside he could hear some hustling noises from inside, he smelled something strange from inside, his legs stopped moving all of sudden, he couldn't believe what he was looking at....
