At first, the sound of the two men fighting, bothered Lucas.

He looked through the window and saw that the guards were still at their post.

He tiptoed towards the door of his father's room.

He always knew that Devon was no match for his father if the two were allowed to combat alone.

He just feared that his father is now too old to defeat Devon.

When he got there, he opened the door slowly and only wide enough for an eye to peep through it.

He was shocked by what he saw.

His father had Devon pinned to the floor and his sharp claws were tracing their way across his bare chest.

This is interesting. He thought, and went quietly back to his room.

He looked out through the window again, and saw the guards rushing in.

An idea struck him. This is his moment!

He heard them thumping in and up the stairs.

There's no one on the look. He better get going now, he thought, and started out from his room again.
