“Argh.” I fall to my knees. The pain and heat are getting to be too much. My heads barely there.

Wes picks me up. “Come on, bro. Just a little farther. We’ll get Mia to reject you and you’ll be ok.” He grits at my weight.

“I can’t…” I pant. I can barely breathe.

“Yes, Grey. You can. Stand up!” Wes struggles.

Lucius comes over and grabs my other arm. They both lift me up. “Walk.” Lucius barks.

I turn my head. I can barely see him. “Fuck...you.” I say weakly.

He smirks. “Come on.” He bounces me, adjusting my arm in his.

Wren comes over and picks up my head. She runs her palms around my sweat soaked face. “He’s burning up. We need to hurry.”

“Too bad…he’s not…as hot as…me...huh, Wren.” I smile.

She smirks. “In your dreams, Grey.” She slaps my cheek and makes my head fall.

We walk the last leg and arrive at Mia’s village.

Some people run from the camp to his house. Moments later, Tay comes jogging out. Lucius hands my arm to Wren and they hold me steady.
