MIA

We pulled into the giant house driveway. It’s definitely better than the desert house of the Alpha.

Sage comes around to my door and opens it. “Come, Mia.” He holds out his hand and I take it.

I take in everything. The white stone walls. The Phoenix decorations. The stone steps.

People are rushing around to do tasks and meet us.

A man runs up the Sage and hands him a paper. “The Nordic pack requests a meeting to discuss the Alliance.”

Sage rubs his head. “Damn. I hate the cold. Fine. Tell him I’ll meet him in three weeks time.”

“Mia. Let’s get you to your room.” Sage smiles.

I hide my face and follow him up the white steps. We walk down a hallway with lots of gold statues and red carpets.

He opens a door and leads me in. “I hope you like it.”

My jaw almost hits the floor. There’s a white bed with a red flame blanket on it. A giant red and blue bird with wings spread out over it.
