Chapter 17: Almond eyes

Oliver’s POV

After dinner, we walked to our respective rooms to rest because tomorrow onward we have to join at our new workplace. Late at night, I stirred in my sleep and opened my half eyes to look to check where I was because my mind had forgotten for a while that I had moved to somewhere else.

Immediately my eyes landed on a pair of two almond eyes. One was of golden color, and another was red.

“Aa..” I tried to shout in fear, but my voice died in my throat when I heard ‘Grrrhhh.’

I kept staring at those eyes. There was definitely an animal in my room, and definitely a big animal. I assumed by observing how those eyes were distinctly almond-shaped eyes that tend to be more closely set on th
