LOGINLivia’s POV
The moment the door slammed shut, the sound echoed through the room like a final verdict as I stood frozen.
My chest rose and fell unevenly as my eyes slowly scanned the room, as if expecting him to walk back in and say it was all a mistake.
“Zach?” I whispered, my voice trembling as silence answered me.
My fingers curled into fists. He left, not just left, but he dismissed me. He wants me to go.
A shaky breath escaped my lips as disbelief flooded my veins. Is all like a dream to me as I don't ever believe a day like this will come.
“Did… did he just tell me to go?” I murmured, my brows knitting together, and for a moment, I laughed.
A soft, broken laugh that didn’t quite sound like my own.
“This is what I wanted, isn’t it?” I said to myself, my voice growing firmer. “Freedom.” But the word felt strange on my tongue. My eyes darkened slightly as realization settled in. Not once did I beg him to stay, not once did I fall to my knees like I used to, and not even when he offered money.
My lips curled into a faint, bitter smile. “I rejected him…” i whispered, almost in awe. “I actually rejected him.”
I could still picture the look on Zach’s face, the shock, the disbelief, the bruised ego, and for once i had taken something from him.
I didn’t regret it. “I don’t care,” I muttered, shaking my head as if to push away any lingering doubt. “I don’t care what he thinks anymore.”
My gaze drifted toward the large doors of the room, the same doors that had kept me trapped for so long.
A palace, that’s what they called it, but to me?
“A prison,” I spat under my breath.Slowly, I lifted my face toward the ceiling. “Moon Goddess…” my voice softened, almost reverent. “Thank you,” I muttered.
My eyes shimmered, but no tears fell, not this time and not anymore.
I turned in a slow circle, taking in the room, every corner, every object, every memory etched into its walls.
“What do I even take?” I asked quietly as my steps were hesitant at first, moving toward the wardrobe. I opened it, saw rows of dresses, expensive and beautiful.
My fingers brushed against the fabric before I pulled back sharply, as if burned.
“No,” I said firmly. “None of this is mine,” I said as my gaze hardened.“I came here with nothing, and I will leave the same way.”
A strange sense of pride settled in my chest, and for once, I wasn’t taking anything from him.
Not his money, not his gifts and not even his name.
But just as I turned toward the door, a flicker of unease crept in.
“What if…” I paused, my heartbeat quickening. “What if he changes his mind?” I murmured as the thought made my breath hitch.
Zach wasn’t predictable; he was cruel, dangerous, and unstable.
My mind flashed back to his voice, cold, threatening. “If I ever get tired of you, I will sell you to old men who will use you until there’s nothing left.” he had threatened.
My stomach twisted violently as my hands trembled. I rubbed my hand over my stomach, feeling my baby kick. This is a secret I will forever keep from him.
“He wouldn’t…” I whispered, but even i didn’t believe it.
“He would,” I murmured as my jaw tightened.
“I have to leave now,” I said silently.
Quickly, I moved around the room, straightening things instinctively, fixing the bed, aligning objects, erasing any trace of urgency.
“If anything looks out of place…” I muttered, panic creeping in, “he might suspect something.” I said coldly.
I don't want to take chances as I need to move that night. Delay is as dangerous as they say it.
My movements became faster, precise and controlled.
I didn’t allow myself to think twice as I rushed toward the door, my bare feet barely making a sound against the cold floor.
Each step felt like a countdown; a feeling of freedom was right there.
Just a few steps more, the door opened as cool air brushed against my face.
My heart leapt as I stepped out but suddenly, as I walked into the darkness, a strong hand grabbed my arm.
I was shocked as fear took the whole of me. “Going somewhere?” a deep voice drawled.
I gasped, my body jerking violently as i tried to pull away. “Let go of me!” i snapped, panic flaring in my eyes.
The guard tightened his grip, his fingers digging painfully into my skin. “Easy,” he said with a low chuckle. “I’m here to help,” he said, and my brows furrowed, confusion mixing with fear.
“Help?” I repeated sharply. “By grabbing me like this?” I asked coldly.
His lips curled into a slow, unsettling grin.
The way his eyes traveled over my body made my stomach churn.“You are trying to leave, aren’t you?” he said, his voice dropping. “I can get you out without anyone knowing,” he said.
I froze as I was surprised by how he knew about my leaving. It seems something wasn’t right as my instincts screamed at me.
“No,” I said immediately, trying to yank my hand free. “I don’t need your help,” I said firmly, but he didn’t let go. Instead, he stepped closer, too close.
“I already spoke to the Alpha,” he continued smoothly. “He gave me permission.”
Her heart skipped. “What…?” I whispered, shaking my head. “No, you are lying,” I said without hesitation.
“Am I?” he tilted his head, his grin widening. “Why would I lie?” he asked with a smirk on his face.
My breathing became uneven. Zach wouldn’t but then again… He would.
Rage and fear collided inside me. “I said, let go of me!” I shouted, struggling harder now, but the guard’s expression darkened.
“You should be grateful,” he muttered. “Not many get this kind of special treatment.”
My eyes widened in horror. “No, don’t touch me!” I cried, pushing against him, but he was stronger, far stronger than I was at that moment.
Before I could get myself together, he slammed me against the wall, pinning my wrists above my head.
“Stop struggling,” he snapped. “You will only make it worse.”
Tears burned in my eyes, but I refused to let them fall.
“Please…” my voice cracked despite my effort. “Please, just let me go.” I pleaded painfully, but his grip tightened further.
“You should have listened,” he said coldly but before I could react. A sharp pain exploded at the side of my head, everything spun, and my vision blurred immediately.
The last thing I saw was his cruel smile and then darkness. I collapsed, my body going limp as unconsciousness swallowed me whole.
Chapter 111Livia’s POVThe moment the Beta carried Bella out of the mansion, everyone thought it was simply to remove the chaos she had created, but that was far from the truth. There was a hidden plan in it.The Beta tightened his arms around her struggling body while his expression remained cold and unreadable as he took her out.Bella had been too busy cursing, threatening, and trying to scratch his face to notice the tiny piece of modeling clay hidden beneath the beta's glove. It was just one touch that was all we needed, but Bella gave him far more than that.Earlier, the cup I held had already been prepared with latent fingerprint material, and Damian had insisted it was necessary in case the clay failed. We had planned every detail carefully, expecting resistance and difficulty, but instead… Bella practically handed us everything so easily.***Back to the present.I stood beside the large monitor in Damian’s study, my arms folded tightly across my chest, while Damian careful
Bella’s POVMy fingers dug into my bag like claws tearing into flesh as I searched my bag looking for the items that I had come with.“No… no, no, no… this is not possible,” I muttered as I became restless and furious. My breath came in sharp, uneven bursts as I overturned everything inside the bag but could only see my lip gloss, a compact mirror, and a folded scarf. Nothing else was inside the bag. There was no phone, the vial wasn't inside, and no ring box. The bag looks so empty that I began to wonder if that was the bag I took along to Livia's place. At that moment, nothing mattered to me again as I became so confused and bitter. My heart slammed violently against my chest, each beat louder than the last, echoing in my ears like a war drum.“I had it… I had it!” I muttered uncomfortably. My voice cracked, rising into something almost feral. I froze, my eyes darting, trying to retrace every second, every movement, and every glance.I thought about the car, the road, and the numb
Livia’s POVI watched as Alexa stared at the journal, as it had personally offended her. Out of the things I took from Bella, it seems the journal was what took her interest the most.“Is there anything that matters?” I asked, looking at her for an explanation.“Oh, I already know what’s inside,” Alexa scoffed, folding her arms. “Pages and pages of Bella crying, whining, and cursing your name. I can feel the bitterness from here,” she says.I narrowed my eyes. “Then open it.” Alexa tilted her head slowly, a sly smile creeping onto her lips. “Eager to die, are we?” she asked calmly.“I’m not scared of ink and paper,” I said boldly, staring at her.“Poison isn’t always visible, Livia,” Alexa snapped sharply. “And Bella isn’t stupid, just insane.”But before I could react, Alexa snatched the journal from my hands. “Hey…” I muttered.“I said I don’t want you dead yet,” Alexa cut in coldly. “At least not from something this pathetic.”I clenched my jaw, irritation flashing across my face,
Chapter 108Livia’s POVThe pain came in waves, sharp, merciless, and unforgiving. A broken wail tore from my throat as I staggered into the room, my body trembling, my face still burning from Bella’s strikes. Every step felt like I was dragging shards of glass through my veins. I barely made it to the bed before collapsing onto it, clutching my side, breath uneven.I was just lying there staring at the ceiling when the door suddenly creaked open, and laughter followed. A laughter that was bright, carefree, and completely out of place.“Wow…” Alexa’s voice dripped with mock admiration as she leaned against the doorframe, arms folded, eyes scanning me from head to toe. “What happened to my beautiful Livia?” she asked, looking at me as I laid on the bed like a lifeless body.I shot her a glare through teary eyes, my lips trembling from both pain and irritation.“Don’t…” I winced, gripping the bedsheet tightly. “Don’t start, Alexa.” I muttered out trying to suppress the pain I was feeli
Chapter 107Bella’s POVThe sight of Livia on the floor, looking weak, trembling, and reduced, sent a thrill through me so sharp it felt like victory itself. Then I laughed, not softly, not politely, but loud, raw, and unrestrained, but was careful enough not to draw the attention of her guards.“You called off your guards?” I scoffed, pacing around her like a predator circling prey. “Livia… Livia…” I shook my head slowly. “For someone who acts so powerfully, you can be unbelievably foolish.”She didn’t answer because she couldn’t. Her body curled slightly, fingers still clutching her head, breath uneven.“Look at you,” I continued, my voice dripping with mock sympathy. “The great Livia… brought down by her own arrogance.”I nudged her with my foot, but no response. That only made me grin wider.I kicked her again, harder this time around but her body rolled slightly across the floor, a faint gasp escaping her lips.“Yes,” I breathed, laughing again. “That’s it… feel it.”Another kic
Chapter 106Bella’s POVI knew it as my instincts told me the moment our eyes met, the moment she smiled that calm, knowing smile, I knew that Livia had already suspected me.A silent scream tore through me, clawing at my chest, but my face remained composed, perfect, and untouchable. I refused to let her see even a crack. She’s ruining everything I had built. Every careful step, every sleepless night spent planning her fall, and yet there she was sitting across from me like a queen on her throne.Feeling untouched, unbothered, and unbreakable. My fingers curled slightly against my lap as heat surged through me. Rage, jealousy, and hatred burned so deep that I could taste it.No… not unbreakable, and not tonight.Livia lifted a glass and slid it toward me with slow, deliberate grace.“Don’t reject it this time,” she said smoothly, her voice soft but laced with something sharp. Something warning, and my jaw tightened, and infuriating.Absolutely infuriating, and she thought she was in
Livia’s POV“I need to leave… right now,” I muttered to myself, already turning on my heel. After a few seconds, my phone buzzed again, again and again.I stopped walking and stared at the screen as it had personally offended me.“Is he seriously calling me again?” I hissed. The name flashed boldly
Chapter 17Livia’s POVI watched as Zachary left, and his shadow disappeared into the air.I decided to take my leave so I can get home quickly and meet with Hayden. He must have been waiting for me.As I was jogging back home, my phone started ringing, and I stopped to pick it up only to find out
Livia's POV I woke up the next morning feeling tired as I looked around the room. The light flashed into my room through the window.“Be very careful, Livia.”Perry's voice replayed in my head like a warning bell that refused to quiet down.It was the first thought that ran through my mind the mom
Livia’s POVThe silence in my was nothing to write home about as I sat on the edge of my bed watching everything in the room.My fingers were pressed against my lips as the moment I had with Zachary kept replaying like a cursed melody that refused to fade. It keeps coming over and over again.I cou
