CHAPTER THREE

**NEXT MORNING**

Morning came slower for Kory than usual. Throughout the night, she barely shut her eyelids for a brief second.

Her little act last night is bound to have dire consequences. The club might've been closed or something like that. Those aren't her major concerns though.

Is she going to live with the fear of being hunted by Logan because of her actions last night?

He'll surely be angry, yes?

Would he sought for revenge?

All these negative thoughts were messing with Kory's head. She can't possibly live with this much insecurities. She'll get traumatized! And she’s already traumatized enough for what she went through as a kid growing up.

It's already 10:am in the morning, she's still in her room, with the doors locked, the curtains closed, the light bulbs of the room were also dimmed.

Kory sat on her bed, her knees were hugged to her chest as she wrapped her arms frighteningly around it.

She's terribly scared. She's too afraid to go out. She never wanted anything to do with a mafia or anything. All she wanted was a life where she’ll be loved, to meet her mate perhaps and find the longing solace she yearns for. She doesn’t want a mafia lingering on her trail.

I mean Who would?

"Why me? Why me!? I haven't done anything wrong! I told Kingsley! I told him I wasn't slut; I'm only supposed to dance on stage, then leave. Why would he....." Kory's voice trailed off as the realization dawned on her.

Kingsley made her passed out. Last night event with him rushed into her memories.

That son of a bitch is literally responsible for all these. If he had rejected Logan's offer, then none of these would have been happening to her.

Anger whelmed up in Kory. She could feel her wolf already growling angrily.

Her scariness got replaced with anger in an instant. She stood up from her bed, went over to the bathroom where she freshened up real quick, wore something casual before she head out of her apartment.

Kory got to her bike hopping on it as she inserted the key turning the ignition on. Her claws were already out; long sharp and pointy. Her eyes were darkened already with anger and rage.

Kory drove speedily off to the club, where she intends to teach Kingsley a lesson.

*******

"Hey Kory!"

"Hi Kory, what are you doing here?"

"Sweetheart! Hi!!"

Kory was flustered by the constant greetings she received. She's just arriving at the club. She knew she made a mistake in visiting the performance lounge’s first.

The club is stupidly big and it's divided into various sections. Her wolf advised her to let out some steam before meeting with Kingsley or she won’t like the outcome of whatever happens when she meet him.

Her wolf was right. If she's to see Kingsley in her state right now, she'll probably not only rip his head off, but scratch his skin bloody.

So, she paid some other co-workers a visit first. She left home some hours to noon, she's guessing it's almost noon.

A lot of people could be seen getting the whole place in order; some cleaning, others putting one thing or the other in the appropriate spot and some stage dancers were practicing their dance routine.

"Hey sweetie!" A friend of Kory waved happily the instant Kory stood right in front of her.

She's also a stripper like Kory. Not as popular, but a talented one.

"Tiffany!" Kory smiled at her.

She pulled her into a short but warm hug.

"You left suddenly, Kory. I hope you're okay?"

"Yeah, I'm fine. I needed to get home real quick, that's all"

"Oh, okay. I heard Mr Logan left the country suddenly! It's such a shame though, you know, he's a regular and influential customer here. Kingsley's probably crying right now. Oh well, I'll be taking my leave now. Bye Kory!"

Kory watched her talkative friend walking away. Kory's happiness knew no bounds when she heard the news from her friend.

She can't believe he left!!

Like, that mafia is out of her life? She could literally leap for joy right now if that won’t seem crazy judging from where she is.

Gleefully, Kory breathed in relief. She wanted to head back home, but she cancelled the idea after remembering her main mission for visiting here.

She's yet to give Kingsley a piece of her mind. So, she took a turn and headed for Kingsley's office.

Arriving there, she placed a knock on the door, but got no response. Kory knocked again, she got the same response of no response.

"Is this bastard kidding me right now? Tiffany told me he's inside. She better not be fucking with me!" She cussed in rage, gnashing her teeth angrily.

She lifted her balled fist to place a knock on the door again, when the door suddenly got opened.

A stunning yet cold looking lady appeared. She had emerald green eyes with a tonned skin too match. Her lips were held in a tight frown, Infact the lady looked so extremely cold.

Kory realised she was standing in the way. She quietly took a step aside, making a path for the lady to walk past.

Lorraine stepped out of the room and intentionally brushed her shoulders roughly with Kory's.

Kory on the other hand was expecting an apology, but the lady simply walked away.

"Tch, some people!" She hissed silently.

Kory ignored the obnoxious attitude of the lady and focused on her main goal of coming here; Kingsley.

Stepping into his office, she met Kingsley seated on his chair while counting some bundles of money which were placed on his desk.

"You sure do look happy,” Kory spoke in a sarcastic manner, announcing her presence through that.

Kingsley became aware of her presence and almost peed his pants. This wasn't the same Kory he knew.

She didn't look friendly at all; her countenance was of that of an angry beast.

"H-h-h-hi Kory" He tried his absolute best not to stutter but his fears were greater than his will power.

"You really got some balls, don't you!?" Kory's snapped as she advanced closer to him.

Kingsley had already stood up. He shouldn't be frightened by her presence, but for some weird reason, he is terribly afraid.

The aura lingering all over her was highly intimidating. She didn't seem like the same girl he took in some months back.

"Don't tell me you're mad because of what happened yesterday? Kory, that was business!" he pulled up a forced smile as you strolled closer to her.

Her anger got the best of her. She stretched her arm and immediately grabbed hold of his collar. Astonishingly, she was able to lift him off the floor with just a single arm!

Kingsley was already trembling like a hairless rabbit in winter. Her red eyes seemed more darker and more vicious. Has she always been this way or is he just noticing it for the first time, how incredibly scary she looks!?

He has underestimated her because of her timid nature. He never knew she would turn out to be this ferocious.

"I almost got raped, you sickening bastard!" she brought him closer to herself while gripping more tightly on his collar.

Kingsley was short of words momentarily. He needs to choose his words carefully or else he would get killed.

"Okay, what about this Kory, I'll compensate you for what just happened! I'm sorry I acted like a dick and almost got you hurt. I swear on my aging mother grave I would never pull such a stunt with you again! I'll never try to fuck you up again I swear. But please don't kill me now, I beg you! Please!!" Kingsley cried out, pleading with Kory in a fearful voice, almost wetting his pants due to the fear.

Without uttering a word, she placed him back on his feet.

"About the compensation,” she spoke in a dark voice.

With the speed of light, Kingsley dashed back to his desk. He got a sack underneath his drawer, which he dumped all the bundles of money in it.

Once he was done, he handed everything back to Kory.

Happily, Kory accepted the huge wad of cash. With this, she would be able to shop insanely for today!

"Thanks a lot Kingsley. I never knew you were this kind hearted.” She winked cheekily at him.

Kory flashed him a mischievous smile before she left the office. The instant she was gone, Kingsley began muttering curses under his breath.

Meanwhile, Kory was already making her way towards her bike. She hopped on her bike and instantly set out to a mall. The moon goddess has just answered her prayers; she was in desperate need of money. Look what her act of bravery have gotten her to!

Kory's drive from the club to the mall, took about an hour. Judging from the shadows, she deducted it will probably be 3 to 4 p.m.

She parked her bike in a space provided at the parking lot. Done with that, she made her way into the gigantic mall.

Kory made sure to spend her money senselessly. She bought a lot of things; mostly, she brought some baggy trousers, lots of t-shirts and some unmentionables. She isn't a fan of gowns or skirts.

Then again, due to excess money, she succeeded in buying almost all her favourite outfits.

Kory spent 3 hours in the mall. The bags she held were all full and plenty.

On her way to make the payments to the cashier, she met with that same rude lady at Kingsley's office.

The lady wasn't done making her payments. Kory had to wait patiently until the lady was done, even though it was taking an eternity!

After some minutes of standing, the lady was done and left the mall without saying a word. Kory also noticed how much clothes the lady brought.

Shockingly and similarly to hers, the outfits were just like hers. Creepy!

Done making her own payment, she pushed the door of the mall open. Unknowingly to her, someone was already standing at the other side.

The door slammed violently on the person's face.

"I am so sorry!" Kory didn't hesitate to apologize to the same rude lady she just encountered.

"You're also blind.” Lorraine said quietly in annoyance.

"Huh? I said I'm sorry, no need for you to act like a bonafide bitch!" Kory attacked, raising up her a daring brows.

"How dare you!!" Lorraine growled at her. Kory was shocked. Did....she just growl at her? Like...she growled!!?

Lorraine noticed her slip-up. Embarrassed, she walked past Kory.

"She's...a werewolf.” Kory said to herself. "I don't have time for that either way.” Kory added and walked back to her bike.

Lorraine had actually came back to the mall because she forgot an extra bag. The cashier was kind enough to return it to her

"That fucking bitch I wonder why the Alpha is even interested in that piece of trash!" she couldn't help but wonder as she made her way back to the car.

She got into the car and drove back to the mansion. It is already night time.

The guards who were stationed at the mansion entrance, helped Lorraine in bringing all the bags into the living room.

Shock was an understatement of what she felt when she met the alpha dressed stylishly.

He's dressed this way just because of a fucking stripper..!?

"Take them to the room next to mine" he ordered.

"Yes Alpha Thane!" they all rushed up the staircase.

"Alpha Thane... it's..."

"You've talked with the manager right?"

"Er, yes"

"Good. Drive me there. She's about to perform"

********

Her shape is truly spectacular. Her twists on the pole didn't even seem possible.

Kory's legs entrapped the pole gracefully and the men watched with want evident in their eyes.

The entire club was quiet. The only form of sound was the soft music being played by the DJ. Tonight, everyone was captivated by her performance.

Kory's eyes were shut as she twirled her body smoothly on the pole. Her performance tonight got everyone stunned and utterly speechless.

The perverted men weren't the only one this time around. Nope, Thane was also seated there, in the VVIP section.

With the way he gaped entirely on Kory, Lorraine had the urge to claw Kory's face out mercilessly. It’s obvious she have a thing a thing for her Alpha.

Why is the Alpha even so engrossed with someone as lowly as her? It's revolting!

And yet, she dare not dissent. Kory performed for half an hour. Her body slid majestically down the pole as she did a split at the end.

"Yayyyyyyyy!!"

"That was awesome Kory!"

"You go girl!!"

"How about a one night stand?"

"Just name the price and you'll get it!"

"One more time time Kory...!"

Kory smirked at the comments. She's visibly disgusted, Thane could clearly see it on her face. She made him smile without him even knowing it.

"She's done now, time to claim her.” He said to himself before standing up from the lovely chair. Lorraine attempted to trail after him like always.

"I hate clinginess, Lorraine. Don't make me hate you!"

She stopped on her track after he made that statement. It's a warning and she knows it.

Reluctantly, she watched him leave.

"Why her!!" Lorraine hitched bitterly.
