Ava’s POV

“Don’t tell me you gave them your approval?” I spluttered, eventually managing to find my voice. “This is total madness.”

“The idea seems rather alluring. It would take care of our potential problem and send a message to everyone out there not to mess with us.” Lukan said.

“Don’t tell me you believe they willingly came here without knowing there’d be every possibility that you would think of attacking them?” I scoffed.

“What if they never figured out that part?” He asked me. “It’s just like you said, they’re egotistical bastards. The last thing they’d care about is their safety.”

“If you go ahead with this plan, you’ll be putting everyone here at risk. Not just anyone affiliated with this pack or trial, but everyone in the pack as well, including the innocent. Whatever is left of his faithful loyalists will take no prisoners and they will try to burn down everything in their path to get their revenge and they will harm the innocent as well. • Her Triplet Alpha’s Game   Chapter 50

Ava’s POV“What is that supposed to mean?” Jason blurted out. I heard a slight tremor in his voice. If you weren’t paying attention, you would miss it. I sighed when I heard it and if I did, Beta Joshua was sure to have heard it as well and that may prove to be a problem because as soon as he smelled blood, he would go in for the kill. I wasn’t overly worried because I was putting my truth in Lukan and his wolves who I’m sure were on high alert and the watch for any unusual activity happening in or out of the courthouse. “You wanted to hear a confession, didn’t you?” Beta Joshua laughed. “I’m about to give you a confession.” Jake held Jason’s hand to stop him from saying anything else, much to my relief. If Beta Joshua wanted to talk, he had every right to until he was done speaking. “I’m sure that everyone sitting here today is eager to hear any more confessions that you’re yet to tell us about,” Jake said. “In essence, the floor is yours and we’re looking forward to hearing eve

  • Her Triplet Alpha’s Game   Chapter 49

Ava’s POVThe courthouse erupted into yet another uproar as everyone started talking at the same time. My eyes were glued on the masses and I knew that if anything was to happen, it would be during a commotion like this when there would be enough distractions to mask their intent until it would be too late to see it coming. I was sure that Lukan had the same thoughts because his eyes were glued to the crowd as well, unblinking and focused. Trying to catch anything that might be out of place. I tried to spot his soldiers as well but I couldn’t. Whoever they were, they had blended in perfectly with the crowd to mask themselves. “Silence!” Jake roared yet again after the first one had been ignored by the masses and this time, they listened. The Alpha effect coming into play. The room fell quiet and all eyes fell on Jake again except mine and Lukan’s. “He’s invoked his right to plead his case and according to our Constitution we have no choice but to accept his case and he’s agreed t

  • Her Triplet Alpha’s Game   Chapter 48

Ava’s POV“I don’t know if you’ve noticed but a couple of the respective heads of the influential houses aren’t present. They’re being represented by their offspring and it’s that way because I took care of a couple of the bad eggs and the others were too tricky for me to handle within a short period.” Lukan said. “Are you trying to pull our legs or something?” Jake asked, sounding incredulous. If it were any other person, I’d have instantly doubted this story and demanded evidence but it was Lukan. He wasn’t one to tell jokes over a serious issue and if he said he did, then he did. “I’ve taken care of most of the problems on the panel so you have nothing to worry about. I have no room for backdoor drama, Alphas. I came here for Joshua and I’m going to get my hands on him no matter what and if anyone stands in my way, they will go down with him. And that includes everyone and by everyone, I mean everyone.” Lukan said. Out of respect, we weren't going to admit it and assume that wa

  • Her Triplet Alpha’s Game   Chapter 47

Ava’s POVLukan refused to let me sit with the crowd. He wanted me close so he could keep an eye on me and I didn’t object. The court was starting to get filled and the chatters were becoming louder. Lukan had taken his seat on the panel, he sat on the right end of the row—the closest seat to the escape door—while the others took up various seats. I recognized the wolves chosen to act as judges and they were all from wealthy and influential families loyal to the crown. A couple of the familiar faces were missing and they were being represented by their sons or daughters and I assumed that they had been killed in the Rogue attack. They all paid their respect to Lukan before taking their seats and falling silent while we all waited for the Wayland brothers and Beta Joshua to arrive.I stared at the crowd and wondered if they knew that there was every chance that a handful of them might die today and if they knew, would they be here? If there was anything I’ve learnt over the past, it

  • Her Triplet Alpha’s Game   Chapter 46

Ava’s POVWe made our way into the court and I was surprised by the sheer size of it. The courthouse stood as a bastion of justice, its imposing facade a masterclass in neoclassical grandeur. The gleaming white stone columns rose like sentinels, supporting the pediment above, where intricately carved figures of the past Alphas gazed out overlooking the pack.In all my years here in the pack, not once did I come here because I was of the notion that if I ever set foot here, I would leave in chains and be thrown into the dungeons. It seemed stupid—I know that—but after being harassed for my life, the slightest thing made me scared and made me think about my life and the worst possible outcome. As members of the pack climbed the broad steps and spoke in hushed tones, the massive wooden doors swung open, revealing a soaring atrium bathed in natural light. The high ceiling, adorned with delicate plasterwork and gilded moldings, seemed to stretch up to the sky as if it wanted to touch i
