"Addie anak inatake ang daddy mo kaya kailangan nating lumipad patungong amerika. Your daddy needs us baby". nadurog ang bata kong puso ngunit hindi dahil sa nangyari kay daddy kung hindi dahil malalayo ako sa kababata ko.

On the first day of class, she immediately caught my attention. Her long black hair was braided. Her round cheeks were blushing. She wore a pink princess dress that perfectly fit her very cute figure. She was quiet and shy around the rest of us kids. She cried when her mommy left her. It was as if she would be left alone, yet they owned the building. They owned the school, so her mommy was just within the school premises anyway.

I couldn't bear to let the first day of class end without approaching and talking to her, and so I did. I approached her. I befriended her. I was excited to go to school because of her. Being with her at the school was fascinating. But dad got sick. We had to fly back to the US because mom needed to run our business herself. They planned to stay in the US for good, and so I had no choice but to go with them even though it broke me. My young heart broke at that very moment.

"Kuya sa Hotel Manila po" I excitedly announce my destination. Tumango si manong driver. I caught him staring at me through his rearview mirror. I waved my hand and smile wider at him. He didn't informed me the exact amount but he nodded his head. I downloaded it from her I* account. She was pretty in this photo. Nakapeace sign pa nga at malawak ang ngiti. Showing her perfect set of teeth at the camera.

May bago siyang post.

We left the Philippines when I was five year old and I thought my feelings for her were just sisterly love but as days went by my feelings went deeper that made me realize it wasn't just a friendly love anymore but more than that. Morethan a sisterly love. When I turned ten I created an account on I* and started searching for her but it wasn't easy to find an account that is not even existing. She has a lot of pictures with my girl. Yes at the age of ten I knew then that I was into her. And so whenever I look at her pictures I always claimed her mine..My girl. My vitals. Unang kita ko palang sa pictures niya I knew then I was attracted to her. Lalo siyang gumaganda habang nagdadalaga.

Then one day I messaged tita Shanaia. I introduced myself though I knew she must be forgotten about me already. But I was surprised that she never forgot my existence. Through her nagkaroon kami muli ng communication ni Asher. Gumawa siya ng account niya and we followed each other. Until one day she opened up about her huge crush with this girl named Mia Sandoval.

"I think my feelings is not just a simple crush anymore Addie. I love her..I am in love with her. She's very good at playing volleyball. Actually she's good at everything she does." she said smiling widely at the camera. Looking so proud. She called me through I* just to tell me this. Does she have any idea how much she's hurting me? I wanted to cry and tell her I love her too but damn.....naduduwag ako. I cannot lose our friendship. I cannot lose her.

"How about you Addie? Are you straight? Hindi kaba minsan nagkakagusto man lang sa babae kagaya ko?" she asked me curiously. She was staring at me intently at the screen of her phone. That you she was the one who bended me. But I chose not to say anything about my feelings yet. It is not the perfect time to confess yet.

"I am straight Ash. Straight as pole." I smiled sweetly. And deep down I knew then I was lying, lying about my feelings.

  • Hidden Affection   Chapter 32

Was it just a dreamed? After a moment, her lips parted ever so slightly, as though inviting a forbidden closeness from me. I swallowed, suddenly nervous. My heart began pounding wildly, stirred by a dangerous longing that threatened to overwhelm my reason. It felt as though that smal

  • Hidden Affection   Chapter 31

ADRIENNE I admitted it to myself, I loved my parents. I loved them more than words could ever express. But the way they had treated me for twelve long years had slowly eaten away at everything inside me. The moment I heard my father call me his daughter and baby, the same endearment he used to call me before the tragedy that tore our family apart, it felt like a trigger, ripping open wounds I had spent years trying to bury. The pain, the ache, the disappointment, and every unspoken hurt came rushing back into my heart all at once. I pulled away from the warmth of Mr. Collins’s embrace. Without looking back, I ran toward the elevator, the doors opening just as I reached it. I ignore their screaming my name, pleading for me to look back. Pleading for me to run back but I just couldn't. By the time I reached the hospital lobby, I walked straight toward the parking lot where my motorcycle was waiting. I wasn't crying anymore as I reached my bike, it felt as though the fragile Kendr

  • Hidden Affection   Chapter 30

ADRIENNE I haven't been able to sit still for a while now. I am fidgeting in my seat. I’ve let out several deep breaths, desperately trying to calm myself down. When Tita George told me that she had called Daddy and informed him about my sister’s condition, I immediately went cold and became extremely anxious. I emailed Mommy four days ago , but I don’t think she has read it yet because I still haven’t received any response from her up until now. Five days have passed, and thank God, my twin is now stable. She has also been transferred to a private room. The attending doctor was also amazed by how quickly my twin has improved. According to him, this is the first time he has ever encountered a patient like my twin. He said that my twin is truly fighting to recover and fighting her way back to us. Tita Kailey arranged for her to stay in a VVIP room, which I didn’t object to anymore because I knew that there, she would receive proper care and be closely monitored by the doctors and

  • Hidden Affection   Chapter 29

ADRIENNE I woke up alone in the room. The ceiling and walls were plain and bare white. The window was closed, but the curtain remained slightly pulled to the side, allowing me to clearly see the darkness outside. Gabi na. My throat felt dry, and I could feel the swelling around my eyes. I was momentarily blinded by the harsh light of the fluorescent bulb, which was neatly and securely mounted on the ceiling. I breathed a heavy sigh as I remembered what had happened before darknes consume me. I abruptly sat up and let my eyes wander around the room. I could hear the sound of running water, as if a faucet had been left on inside the bathroom. I quickly threw off the blanket that covered half of my body and was about to get up from the bed when the bathroom door suddenly opened. Tita Shanaia came out, drying her hands with a small towel. She was wearing a lavender button down shirt, sleeves rolled up to her elbows and a white cargo pants. Her hair was neatly pulled up, showing he

  • Hidden Affection   Chapter 28

ADRIENNE Growing up, I got used to searching and longing for the warmth and love that my own family denied giving me. I got used to being alone. Every time I fall, I am the only one finding a way to stand back up, even when the impact of my fall was incredibly heavy. And whenever I fail at things, especially in terms of my academics, my family comes in full force to rub in my face how weak I am. How useless I was. How stupid I was made. Yet, when I succeed at something, not a single person in my family comes forward to congratulate me nor celebrate with me. So, in my 18 years of existence, I used to seek validation and warmth that my own family refused to give me all throughout my youth. I waited long enough, that is why I just woke up one day realizing that I'd already stopped and tired looking for warmth, validation, and love. Accepting that I would never experience them and maybe, maybe never will. It was not that I accepted that no one would ever give me those things, but becaus

  • Hidden Affection   Chapter 27

ADRIENNE When I opened my eyes, a throbbing headache welcomed my morning. It felt as if my skull was being hammered from the intense pain, causing me to groan repeatedly while my hands continuously massaged my throbbing temples. My throat also feels as though no liquid has touched my lips for days, so dry that I almost groan with every swallow I did. I squeezed my eyes shut, trying to ease, somehow, the hammering pain in my skull. I remembered leaving the empty beer cans on the floor, so my eyes looked down toward where I remembered leaving them last night, but my brow furrowed when I saw that the floor was clean, with no single trace of my mess from last night.
