My eyes quickly darted around the full parking lot, searching for a space, as I impatiently tapped my fingers on the steering wheel. I had just arrived at the hospital after receiving a distressed call from Jamie and I was trying to have positive thoughts on my way here.

Finally finding a parking space, I parked my car and quickly made my way inside the building. I rushed down the hallway to the area that he mentioned over the phone and sighed in relief when I spotted him and his sisters.

He was seated in between them and had them in his embrace. My relief died instantly when I noticed the state that he was in. His hair hang over his eyes and he seemed exhausted. Even though I couldn't see his face properly, I could already tell that something awful must have happened.

I walked closer and gently ruffled his hair when I was in front of him. He lazily looked up at me but before I could say anything, Kate rushed towards us while breathing heavily.
