Chapter 1

(Midnight, in the Wung Mo company building, the CEO's office. A silenced riffle goes off. Mr. Wung Mo falls on the ground, the tiled floor stained with his blood. The shooter, a woman in black, stands from the table and returns the gun into the holster at her waist.)

"Who... who the hell are you? How dare you come at me? Do you know me? "He bellowed at the blonde as his eyes twitched from the agonizing pain of the bullet wound at his chest. She approached him and squatted beside him. Her large green eyeswere calm, extremely calm. As if she had done this job a thousand times and would not mind doing it a couple thousand times more. Her luscious lips were painted with an appealing scarlet red. She gave out a pressurizing aura of agile confidence, hidden power and inner strength. She slipped her fingers from the collar of his tailored suit to where the bullet wound was and pressed hard. His groans full of pain cursed and threatened her but they only seemed to lightened her moood.

"I have money! I can give you anything! I'll give you twice my bounty so just st... stop!"

She paused and neared her face to his. He looked at her closely and couldn't help but feel a sense of familiarity in those cold eyes that shimmered under the side lights of the large office. She opened her mouth and whispered into his right ear.

"August eleventh 2005."

Immediately, he kept quiet and almost forgot breathing. The silence then turned to a constant eerie ringing. His heart almost stopped when he heard those words and she chuckled upon seeing his reaction. He remembered the horrors he and his associates did, how he got all his wealth, his inhumanity, and now it came back to haunt him, or atleast kill him, in the form of a woman whose hatred and resentment for him was clearly expressed on her face.He was now sure of his death.

"You are their daughter. How the hell did you survive? We made sure all of you died. H...how? "He asked as his breaths turned to painful wheezes.

However, even though he had now given up any chance of getting out of his office alive, his eyes were still, obliviously imploring mercy. He now saw her less of an intruder and more of his grim reaper. She chuckled and looked at him straight in the eye before answering his question. "I do not speak to dead people." She took out her dagger and with a single swing, she sliced his neck, ending him. He tried stopping the bleeding and as he choked on his own blood, he reminisced his apathetic life, and the shortcuts he took to reach the peak. She saw the regret and remorse in his eyes that still struggled not to shut but it was a tad too late to be saved. And before his hands gave out and eyes lost their sense, he read her lips that uttered the words.

"See. You. In. Hell. " He died.

The alarm blarred, seven o'clock in the morning. Qiao Mo opened her eyes slowly. She hadn't changed the black attire and she still had the blood stained dagger clutched in her hand. She still remembered the previous night, how her victim knew his awaiting horror yet his eyes still begged for mercy. How sure he was of his death the moment she mentioned the date that marked a turning point in both their lives. For the first time in her life, she felt as if a part of the sickening burden in her chest had been removed.

She got off the bed and stared at a framed old picture of her as a child and a beautiful lady who resembled her. She then stared at the other picture of her and ten other people in a similar attire covered in blood and dust. Her eyes then moved to the dagger clutched in her hand. Her mind floated away and she thought of how she would come at the remaining eleven victims.

"Huh, should it seem as if they were killed by a serial killers? No too dark."

Even though it wasn't her first kill, it felt different. The sensation that rushed through her spine when his blood splattered on her left cheek was exhilarating. The unrelated lives she took in her previous line of work never made her feel anything, no remorse, no closure, nothing. But she was now different, sort of reborn, driven by a vengeful thirst for blood. She was now Qiao Mo, the secretary to the President of of the Wushi Cooperation, and she was running late for work.

She stormed out of her apartment building tying her long hair into a classic ponytail and wiping off the toast crumbs on her cheeks. Her long-sleeved white shirt was carefully tucked in her stripped skirt. Her purple coat hanging loosely on her leather purse almost fell off when she leaped on the bus. She still had seven minutes that, if there was no traffic would save her from a lecture from the president.

Her boss, Levi Wushi was prodigy in the world of businesses carried out within and outside the country. He was one of the richest, youngest and most famous playboys of the century. She saw it ironic that, even though it was undeniable that he deserved being a member of the distinguished Wushi family that valued morals, she had seen more women enter and exit his office than her apartment building. She always wanted to keep a safe distance from him but fate, as cruel as can be, found a way to be promoted from a normal accountant in the finance department to the most coveted position of the president's secretary of the Wushi Bank that also served as a headquarters of the Wushi cooperation.

Qiao Mo entered her office and got straight to work. The telephone rung. Her enthusiastic mood diminished when she heard her boss' voice in the reciever.

"Kindly bring the proposal documents for tomorrow's board meeting. "

"Yes sir."

She replied as she replaced the reciever. She picked up the proposal documents, neatly arranged them and rose from her desk. Hesitatingly, she said a short prayer, turned the door knob and opened one of the two huge pair of doors. A white carpet spread through the spacious office. The large windows showed a wide view of the city. The mahogany shelves and file cabinets were full of books arranged neatly. He stood at one of the shelves engrossed in one of Christopher Columbus' diaries. He closed the books and addressed her.

" You may proceed, place them on my desk and get back to work."

Without a thought, she bowed, walked past him, placed the documents and headed for the door. Barely had she taken two steps past him than he grabbed her by the hand and pulled her to him. She almost fell on the couch he had been leaning on. With the other hand, he unfastened her hair and his fingers brushed the strands slowly and rested at her waist.

"You look better without the bandeau. "

Dumbfounded, she rose her eyes and they met with his, blue and deep, like the sea. And she felt as if on its shore, tempted to dive in and her body crushed by the unceasing waves.

His charming face had an aligned jawline and his face was covered by his silver hair. She felt compelled by those remarkable eyes to stay still and think about nothing but him. He stroked her hand and placed it on his chest. Her head was in a frenzy. She felt his arms tighten around her waist more as the tip of his fingers trace her back. It was getting hotter by the second. Her face turned red and her eyes moistened. She let out a small moan as he suddenly pulled her. His eyes were fixated on her now red face and he couldn't help but smile at her reactions.

"How can a woman as innocent as you make such a lustful expression. You're driving me fuc-"

He whispered to her ear and she immediately interrupted him by putting her hands over his lips. She remembered the purpose she set for herself and what this facade she wore so well served as. She pushed herself from his grasp and took a few steps back. She looked down and asked,

"Is there anything else you would like, sir? "...
