Chapter 2-Fire them all!

A long silence filled the entire conference room, as they all waited for their CEO to speak even though deep down they were hoping that he wouldn't and just leave quietly because with the deadly look in his eyes they all know that they are all in a big trouble except if a miracle happens to them of course which they are certain it won't be happening anytime soon.

"They are all doomed!"

"We shouldn't have signed a contract with the company against his will."

"How could the devil have used them before they realized it."

"I'm listening." Alex uttered in a cold tone, which made them all shiver in fear once again. His deadly stare, cold aura and even the coldness exuding from his body was making them tremble and shiver in fear ,they could only hope and pray that he would spare them this time around.

If a person actually entered and saw their present situation, the first thing that will pass through the person mind is none other than the devil with his two dark, sharped pointed horns scaring his captives.

"Xavier!" Alex said huskily.

"Sir!"

"Fire them all!" Alex stated, stood up Immediately and left the conference room with a blank expression on his face.

"Sir!"

"Please sir, you can't do this to us."

"Sir, please listen."

They all cried out in tears but Alex didn't turn back not even once to look at them, he just didn't care. Their tears became more as they watched him leave without even sparing them a gaze.

They would have been happy, if he'll only fired them and leave them alone to continue living their lives peacefully with their family but they all knew that it was a dream that will never come true.

Unfortunately for them all, the rules still remained in the company."Once you are fired, that will be your last day on earth."

"Take them away!" Xavier ordered and they were all taken to the underground palace never to be seen again.

*********

"Will you stop acting like a snail Cassie!" Maggie yelled angrily, which made Cassie sigh tiredly. She's been scrubbing the same place for the past 1 hour now but it seems like the heaven is against her because it looks like Ma'am Maggie won't be satisfied with her job anytime soon till she broke one of her hands!

"Where the hell is Kelly!" Maggie yelled once again which made Cassie had no other choice but to cover her ears with her hands as she sighed frustratedly.

"This is complete torture!" Cassie missed irritably. She's the only one left among the cleaners, thanks to her ever rude mouth that won't think before talking, like really!

"Mrs...No....Madam..." Cassie uttered but before she could even finish her statement Maggie interrupted her.

"I should have handled you guys with an iron hand that would have thought you all not to slack off in your duties!"

"So you were handling us with a plastic hand before? That's good news!" Cassie muttered under her breath sarcastically.

"Were you talking back to me?" Maggie asked, glaring at Casaie which made Cassie lower her head. Cassie was sure that if looks could kill she'll be 100ft below the earth surface. Maybe even buried.

"No Ma'am. I wouldn't dare!" Cassie added timidly.

"You know back in the days, I was a very hardworking daughter which made my parents proud a lot. I'll do chores before told and make sure that everything is well placed. I was often used as an example by parents to teach their spoilt kids. Unfortunately, the world has changed a lot and there are now many spoilt brats on the world today that needs hard discipline and teachings.

"Yeah, and you will be the one to teach them." Cassie muttered under her breath as she sighed frustratedly after hearing the same story from Ma'am Maggie for the past 5years now. Can life be more unfair!

"Were you insulting me?" Maggie asked, staring at Cassie.

"No Ma'am I wouldn't dare. What I meant to say was that, Kelly asked for your permission earlier to visit her mum at the hospital." Cassie stated, noticing the anger in Maggie's eyes slowly turned calm and she couldn't be more happier.

"Oh really?" Maggie responded as she tried to remember when that happened.

"Oh yes Ma'am Maggie!" Cassie replied, resisting the urge to roll her eyes.

"You should have told me earlier. I just got myself all worked up for no reason and even wasted my spot." Maggie stated, sitting on the plastic chair that was facing Cassie.

"You are always doing that but thank God you finally noticed." Cassie muttered under her breath.

"Trust me Cassie, you just collected half of your salary. Congratulations!" Maggie uttered with a smirk on her face.

"Ma'am Maggie!" Cassie exclaimed, with shock written all over her face. Was she cursed to never receive her full salary. It just remains a day, just only a day and she would have received her full salary for the first time in years but it looks like that won't be happening." Cassie thought, fighting back to urge to cry.

"That's for being rude to me Cassie. You need to learn how to talk to your elders especially if that elder turns out to be your boss. I can't still believe that after deducting your salary for the past 5years now, you still haven't learn your lesson." Maggie stated nonchalantly.

"But?" Cassie stated but before she could even complete her sentence she was cut off by Maggie.

"Are you perhaps questioning my decision Cassie? So bad." Maggie uttered, glaring at Cassie who couldn't help but gulp down nervously.

"No, Ma'am Maggie I wouldn't dare to do that." Cassie added almost immediately.

"So what were you doing?" Maggie asked with a smirk on her face as she waited for Cassie's reply.

"I was just trying to apologize for my rude behavior. I promise Ma'am Maggie." Cassie said sadly.

"That's good. Also since Kelly isn't around, you'll be replacing her and serve Sir Alex instead until she returns."

"What!"
