Chapter 4-Little Lamb

"I'm sorry." Cassie uttered and ran out of the room with tears in her eyes.

Alex stared into space, surprised that a girl was brave enough to leave him hanging. "What a brave little lamb." Alex muttered under his breath as he stared at the painting in front of him.

"What did you do to her?" Kai, Alex first hand man asked, as he walked in to Alex's study room and as always the guy ignored his existence.

Kai sat in front of Alex, who wasn't even sparing him a gaze. He turned around to follow Alex's gaze when he noticed the broken glasses on the floor.

"Ahh! Oh my gosh, Alex. Don't tell me you were about to hurt a young harmless girl!" Kai exclaimed.

"That's so bad Alex, so bad. I can't believe you were planning to hurt such a cute little girl." Kai added, acting like a strict mother.

Alex decided to turn a deaf ear to Kai's comment, the only person in the world, brave enough to question his decisions.

"Really, you are going to ignore this cute son of yours. So bad Alex, so bad after all the things I taught you. You still decided to continue with your bad and rude behaviors. I'm disappointed with you Alex, so disappointed." Kai stated, putting his hand on his chest dramatically. He knows that he was adding more flame to Alex's anger but instead of Alex to retaliate like a normal person would, he won't but instead ignore him like he doesn't exist.

"You know what Alex as much as I..."

"Take care of the company. I'll be back soon." Alex stated, stood up anf leave Kai hanging.

"That brat!" Kai mused tiredly. Only God knows what he's trying to think of. He knows that Alex wouldn't come back for at least a week or a month except if a miracle happens of course. But still why does he have to be the sacrificial lamb. After firing almost half of his staff members he decided to leave the company in his hand. Typical Alex!

Kai sighed, resting his head on the table and as if a force pushed him up, he stared into space and shock was written all over his face.

"This can't be true!"

****************

Cassie sat in a secluded dark corner, her eyes filled up with tears. How could she be so careless out of all days. Why is she stupid, so stupid.

What if he decided to fire her? How will she be able to survive. Was she really fated to always be doomed. Why is life so unfair to her!" Cassie thought as tears fall like a waterfall from her eyes.

"Why does Ma'am Maggie have to punish her like this. Why!" Cassie thought sadly.

Cassie kept crying like a child who just lost her puppy. She felt alone and greatly hoped that Jackie was here with her unfortunately Jackie left for home already.

Cassie continued crying when a cat walked in and stood before it. The cat belonged to Sir Alex, the same cat that has been following her for the past 5 years. The cat was known not to relate with people except its master Sir Alex but strangely its been following her around. Strange right?

"Come here, little ginger!" Cassie stated, wiping away tears from her eyes and as always the cat answered her nad walked towards her, sitting quietly on her laps. Cassie started playing with the cat's fur. She named it little ginger cause the first time she saw the cat, the little guy had a ginger in his mouth.

"What should I do, little ginger? Do you think that Sir Alex will forgive me. I promise that it wasn't intentional." Cassie said, like she was trying to assure the cat that she didn't do it on purpose and strangely the cat meow in response.

"So, you believe me little ginger, right?" Cassie ssked, pulling little ginger up, making the cat face her. Anyone who actually saw her now will taught she was crazy cause what normal person talks to an animal.

"Meow!" The little cat responded.

"That's why I love you a lot, little ginger. You are the best!" Cassie exclaimed, hugging little gjnger as her lips curled up into a huge smile.

"But little ginger, what do you think we can do to convince Sir Alex and Ma'am Maggie? What if they don't trust me. Ma'am Maggie won't do any harm to me except than deduct my remaining salary or even even decided not to pay me at all but that's okay at least I would be able to account for the broken glasses but what about Sir Alex, I don't know how to please him." Cassie muttered, as the smile on her face slowly changed into a frown.

"I know it was my fault but also not entirely my fault. You see, Sir Alex's eye was so scary. Like really, he reminded me of the devil who was said to have two dark horns and a scary face though Sir Alex is so handsome. And also little ginger I have never came across the devil before, just a part of my imagination but Sir Alex was so scary and that was why the poor tray had to die before its time." Cassie muttered.

"I know I should have been careful little ginger, but Sir Alex really scared the hell out of me. I thought a ghost was about to attack me. I really felt scared when I heard him speak. It was so scary little ginger its a miracle I survived." Cassie added almost immediately.

"So what do you think we should do little ginger.I know that Sir Alex is your master so I'm certain that you know of a way we could use to persuade him to forgive me cause I don't want to end up on the street or even jobless. So tell me how I can persuade him little ginger."

"But one thing I know for sure little ginger is that Sir Alex is a nice man, a very nice man and I know he isn't so bad, so he'll have to forgive me but for that to happen, little ginger you have to help this friend of yours."
