Chapter 5-Bed of Roses

Cassie was at the front of Alex's study room with a note in her hand. She moved  to and fro in front of Alex's study room with little ginger wagging his tail behind her.

"Little ginger, should I go in or just drop the note here?" Cassie asked, staring at little ginger for an answer but the cat ignored her question and stood in front of the door instead.

"Yeah, its a bad idea, for you to have ignored my question. What if he's still angry with me." Cassie answered her question herself.

Cassie stood in front of the door, staring at it for a few minutes. She thought if what to do whether she should just go in and maybe luckily for her he might not be in but what if he was still in." Cassie thought which made her sigh tiredly and suddenly an idea appeared in her head.

"Little ginger, you promised to help me, right? So now is the time for you to keep your promise." Cassie said with a smile on her face and squatted in front of little ginger, gently putting the note in its collar, satisfied with her work, she stood up and smiled at little ginger.

"Little ginger, be sure to deliver the letter to Sir Alex, okay? And I promise to give you a treat once you done a good job, okay little ginger?" Cassie said with her eyes glittering like stars. She patted little ginger's head and left there with a smile on her face. She could only hope that little ginger will deliver her message and also Sir Alex will forgive her and also forget to fire her after reading her letter.

Little ginger kept staring at Cassie as she disappeared into the darkness. Little ginger meowed and entered Alex's study room. Kai was still there, working on his computer since Alex made him his sacrificial lamb then he had to do his job.

Kai noticed the cat and a smile made its way to his lips. He noticed the rolled paper in its collar which made him to be so curious to know who had put a letter in the great Alex's cat collar cause he was damn sure Alex would never do that.

"Come here, Romeo." Kai said, staring at the cat but as always the cat ignored him just like its master will always do.

Kai sighed frustratedly and walked towards the cat who surprisingly didn't run from him like it always does.

Kai squatted in front of the cat, removed the letter from its collar. He opened the letter and the smile on his face becomes more wide when he read the letter's content.

"Interesting!"

Cassie walked through the whole New York street like a dead log of wood. She walked through a miles of one hundred kilometers from the Alex's mansion to her house. Since she was just a temporary worker she can't live in the mansion only permanent workers are allowed to. Since she doesn't want to spend her money on a cab since almost all her salary as been deducted only because she couldn't lock her mouth and secondly she loved the calm and cool weather so she thought it would be a good decision if she walked instead and now she's regretting it.

Actually, walking was the least of the least of her problems. She only hopes that Sir Alex would forgive her and forget all about her clumsiness.

Cassie brought out her phone, a phone she took on loan and has been Paying for it every month. She plugged in her earphones, scrolled through the list of her songs and decided to listen to "Lose you to love me" by Selena Gomez.

The song is one of her favorite out of all of Selena Gomez songs. Was it the emotion she used to sing the song or the lyrics behind the songs or was it because she love the artist a lot.

She herself doesn't know the reason but find herself drawn to the song.

Cassie closed her eyes as she got lost in the song. The song was acting magical and made her feel so alive. 

Cassie was lost in the song that she didn't realized when she started walking to a secluded area. She felt her leg hit a stone which made her open her eyes. 

Cassie whinced in pain, she raised her head up when she saw a particular scene which left her in shock.

She saw three guys surrounding a young girl which should be around the age of 15. She was sure that if not because where she was is too dark they would have noticed her present.

She watched as they tore the girl's clothes and made her completely naked. The girl had tears in her eyes as she cried for help. Cassie wanted to help her, to save her but she find herself glued to where she was,  something triggered in her and the memories of her past, cane back to her. She watched them rape the girl but she couldn't do anything but watch, there was tears in her eyes as she tried to stop herself from crying. This was complete torture!

Cassie couldn't take it anymore and decided to help the girl, she couldn't stand it. She can't take it! 

Cassie was about to walk towards the guys but before she could move a hand held her and pulled her to a secluded area. She wanted to scream but the hand covered her mouth tightly.

She bit the person's hand, trying to break free but no matter what she did the person won't release her. The person pulled her closer and that was when she realized that the person who held her was a man.

Her whole body went into alert mode, what if he was one of them? What if he was also trying to rape her?

"I won't hurt you, okay but I can't leave you alone?" The man whispered in her ear and since her body was turned against him, she couldn't see his face.

"We have to help her." Cassie mumbled, as tears fall from her eyes.

"We can't, unfortunately we live in a world where we have to watch all this happen."

"I'm sorry but you have to keep still and keep watching still it ends for you to know that life isn't a bed of roses."
