Selena’s POV

“Pregnant?” I asked again, staring hard at the doctor like he made some sort of mistake that needed to be corrected.

“Well…” the glass-eyed doctor repeated himself as if I told him I didn’t hear him well. I only wanted him to take back what he said, but he wasn’t having it. He just stood there, staring at me like I didn’t know what it takes to get pregnant.

I did have sex, but a few times shouldn’t get me pregnant, and oh shit, I remember I didn’t take any contraceptive.

My heart pounded heavily in my chest. This shouldn’t be happening to me. I already have a lot going on in my life and now this. I can’t deal with this, not now, not ever.
