LOGINTime to talk...maybe some of the mystery will be understood...
Adrian POVSinclair is an interesting one. Around Kaia, she’s braver around people. She will talk freely and even be witty. When she is alone, though, she is focused. Heaven help you if you interrupt her while she is working. She gets annoyed rather easily. Before Isaiah left, he asked me to look after her. I’m glad my brother found Kaia. It looks like he got two for the price of one, though. He is protective of Sinclair. He says it’s because she is important to Kaia, which means she is important to him. I agreed to watch over her, and when I get bored, I decide to go bother her.Growing up, Isaiah was the serious one. I’m glad Kaia is more entertaining. She drives him crazy, and it’s pure joy to watch. My once careful, rule-following brother is no match for his mate. She runs circles around him, and it’s hilarious.Sinclair is more like Isaiah. I’m surprised they weren’t mated. I would have thought that would be a better match.I have observed Sinclair over the last week, though. Eve
Sinclair POVI’m working on figuring out how to get information on my biological parents. I’m in the pack house library, clicking away at the laptop, scanning through all the reports. When I look at the adoption file and see my mother’s name, ‘Cherise Clay’, and my father’s name, ‘Ronan Clay’, I immediately begin searching for them.I’m immersed in data, trying to find them. But shortly after I was put up for adoption, it was as if they had disappeared. Not a trace of them was found. I sighed, frustrated. I know I am going to need Kaia’s help. She’s great at finding people. She saw the seal on the documents and said she would begin her search, but she has been busy with the divorce, finalizing the assets, and helping Isaiah. She’s the pack’s new beta female, and of course, she is being stretched thin, so I haven’t brought it back up to her.“What are you doing up here by yourself?” I heard behind me.When I looked, it was Adrian. He’s been visiting more and more lately. I usually steer
Isaiah POV“Mr. Saunders sends his regards.” The gunman says as he is pulling the trigger, and the gunshot is heard.Every nerve ending shoots up immediately as I tackle that fucker to the ground. His gun scatters to the ground. I looked up, and Mr. Fellman had Kaia covered with his own body on the ground.“KAIA!?” I called out, panicking.“I’m fine! I’m fine, Isaiah!” She calls out, and I feel a sense of relief. Then rage rises as I see two police officers running out of the courthouse. They must have heard the gunshot.I pick the bastard up with one hand, “Who is Mr. Saunders?! Why does he want Kaia dead?!”“What?” I heard Kaia say behind me. “Did you say, Mr. Saunders?”I looked at her, “Yes. He said, ‘Mr. Saunders sends his regards’, before he pulled the trigger.”Kaia’s eyes reddened, and tears started flowing freely. Mr. Fellman caught her as her knees buckled and she almost hit the ground. I would pick her up, except I’m holding her attacker. Who the fuck is Mr. Saunders? The po
Kaia POV It's been almost a month since my divorce. I’m heading back to the human city to finalize the asset transfer. Isaiah is with me. He hasn’t left my side at all. Ever since he wore me out that first night, I have been adding to his list. I love having fun with him in bed. I have something I’m planning, but it’s not ready yet. When it is though, I bet he will enjoy it as much as I will. “What are you thinking about, trouble?” Isaiah asked. I smirk, “I’m thinking about what else I can do to add to your list.” He laughed, “Who knew you would be so addicted to lists?” “I’m only addicted to the one list, and let’s be honest, so are you.” “I’m addicted to you and everything we do together, trouble. It’s not about the list. It just makes it more fun.” He chuckled. His eyes are smoldering, though. I can tell he is thinking about what else he wants to do. I went from never being touched by my ex-husband to never going untouched by Isaiah. I have to admit, I like the turn of event
Conrad POV I keep searching for Sinner. I sent her a very enticing message and told her I had a picture of her as a baby, with her mother holding her. But she never responded. Instead, she blocked my number again. I hired someone to pinpoint her location, but apparently, her phone signal is encrypted, and it’s taking some time to break through the firewall. “Misty, how is the encryption coming along?” I asked “It’s going to take some time, sir. The person you are trying to track doesn’t want to be found.” She said. “What do you mean?” She doesn’t break her eye contact with the computer screen in front of her. “I mean, every time I get close, the encryption changes. It’s like it’s set to reroute automatically at a certain point. Then it changes her location, and I can’t find her. Whatever she is using, it’s more advanced than anything I’ve worked with before.” She slaps her hand on the keyboard in frustration, and I see her eyes get a sense of determination. “I’m going to figure
Isaiah POV Halfway through the night, my possessive alpha DNA wanted to make sure everyone in the pack knows this woman is mine. I made sure to come inside her, bite down on her mark multiple times, and rub our bodies together so damn much that you can barely smell her scent, and all you smell is me. I can’t wait to see her face in the morning when she realizes what I have done. I bet she is going to try to get me back. I chuckle inwardly, praying to the Moon Goddess that our lives will always be like this, getting each other back and being together. I understand my brother and dad now about the mate bond. I couldn’t live if something happened to her. I would die. I love this woman, and she is brave and fearless. Did I go a little too far tonight? Maybe. Do I regret it? Not one damn bit. Especially at the end, when she became demanding and pleading simultaneously. I really need to talk to her about pups, though. I wasn’t careful at all tonight, and I’m guessing she isn’t on birth c
