LOGINAlina’s POV
“Tell me what?” Sebastian’s voice ran behind me like a tidal wave. He got up to me and leaned forward to kiss me like we were on good terms. “Is he bothering you?” he asked, looking at Victor’s red face. “He is.” I I agreed. “Leave now.” Sebastian growled. The redness faded from Victor’s face slowly and he backed away as though afraid of him or something. “Look, Alina and I are only trying to catch up, give us some space.” Victor tried again. This time his eyes had gone back to their usual cocky state and I wasn't scared anymore. Maybe because Sebastian was there, maybe not. “Leave now. She's my wife and clearly she doesn't want to speak to you.” Sebastian said with finality. Victor scowled and walked away, muttering under his breath about how much of a prick he was. The two of us were both breathing deeply “Shall we go in?” He asked. Now that Victor was gone, I could drop the act “What are you doing here?” I asked, turning to look at him. I still couldn't believe he was here. Sebastian grinned. “You left without breakfast, here.” He handed me a paper bag. “It's hotcakes and coffee.” “I don't want it.” I told him. “You don't call the shots Alina, take the damn bag.” He growled. I sighed and took the bag anyway. It was warm and smelled delicious. “Thank you.” “Better,” he said approvingly. He left me there and began to make his way to the car. I stared at his retreating figure until Clara cleared her throat behind me. “I hope someday I can look at the man of my dreams like that.” She remarked and I turned to her. “Be careful what you wish for.” I warned her. She rolled her eyes at me and I laughed. We continued our walk inside. “Any call from Mr Roberts?” I asked as we passed through reception. Clara shook her head and then looked worried. “No,” I wasn't surprised. I didn't say anything, just kept walking, knowing all too well the length that Sebastian’s father would go to find me if he thought it might make me angry. Angry enough to want to leave his son. That wasn't an option. Even if I did think I should do that, I knew Logan wouldn't let me go. “Fix all meetings that were canceled the previous day for today.” I ordered. Clara nodded obediently and started typing into her computer. “Ma'am you have a package” One of the guards announced into the room. “From who?” I wondered out loud. “There is no name on it ma.” the guard told me. I frowned and made my way to the front desk where the guard was standing. “Do you know who it is?” “No Ma’am.” He answered simply, handing over the roses to me. I stared at them for a while wondering if Sebastian had sent them and why? A blush crawled up my face quickly, Maybe he wasn't that bad. Who was I kidding? The meetings went on for hours, anything to get this company back on track, anything to prove to my grandfather that I was worth investing in. Anything to stop my thoughts drifting to the handsome dark haired CEO of the third biggest corporation in New York City whose father wanted nothing to do with me. By the time I got home, I was drenched in exhaustion. I showered quickly, hoping to avoid any interruptions, even from Sebastian. But again he showed up a few minutes after I had settled in. “Nice roses.” He commented. I glanced down at the bouquet and sighed heavily. “Sebastian, please. Can't we just…” I sighed once again. There was no use in prolonging the inevitable. “Can’t we be normal? Just for a bit?” “Why?” He asked as if it was a boring subject. “You sent the roses yet you act like it's something new.” I mumbled. He stared at me and then burst into laughter , surprising the hell out of me. “Are you serious? Why would I send you flowers?” I shrugged. “I don't know. Maybe to impress me?” I was joking, but somehow it felt real. Sebastian looked at me again and burst into another round of humorless laughter, the kind that was meant to hide a lot of feelings rather than express them. “You're funny, really funny.” He told me with obvious sincerity. “I didn't send you flowers, I have no reason to.” His words slapped me against the face hard enough to knock out all my remaining bravado. I watched in silence while he sat next to me and picked up one of the roses and inspected it carefully. “I guess one of my numerous men thought I deserved it.” I countered in a cheery tone. I was hurt and wanted to hurt him too and guess it worked because he dropped the rose suddenly like it had burned him. He stood abruptly and said, “What did you just say?” He charged at me. “Why? Does it bother you that someone else thinks I deserve roses when you think otherwise?” I yelled back at him, anger filling my lungs like liquid nitrogen. “Shut the fuck up. What did you just say?” He grabbed my arm tightly in a bruising grip. “What does it matter? Let go of me you sick fuck.” I snapped, pushing against his hand. His other hand snaked around my waist and pulled me close. The smell of his expensive cologne invaded my senses causing me to gasp slightly. I struggled briefly and then he shoved me against the wall, gently. “Don't fucking speak to me in that manner or you'll be punished” His voice was husky and low. His face loomed close to mine so close I could feel his warm breath on my lips and the warmth spreading inside me. “Or what? You gonna hit me?” I challenged. The words came out harsher than I intended, but it didn't matter anyway because it seemed like everything mattered except what he was saying. His face moved closer to mine till he was mere centimeters away. “No…” his lips brushed my ear “but it won't be hard for you to keep quiet.” He whispered.Alina’s POV“What if it was him?” that voice echoed in my mind, causing me to look up and look around me, I was alone and lost in my thoughts.I shivered involuntarily.I didn't understand where that question even came from. But the voices in my head were active. “Alina, are you even listening to me?” One snapped, pulling further into my thoughts.“Who?” I asked, confused. I knew who it asked for, and I knew what it was talking about but trust me when I say no one wanted their fears to be confirmed.“That’s what I was wondering” another sighed. “What if it was ” it repeated its question. I could imagine the voice as that of a lean woman, staring at me with crossed her arms and warm amber eyes piercing through the bottom of my soul and trying to figure me out but I looked away immediately. The hair in my arms stood involuntarily at the mention of his name, causing my whole body to tense up. I remembered the last time. I was giving him more power than necessary. He still managed to b
Sebastian’s POV “What is this madness?” One of the men yelled, he was staring at me with cold icy eyes, and his accent was heavy.“What does it look like? Be patient and watch.” I responded calmly, although I really wanted to tear them into pieces. When the video finished playing, they both turned to me, faces white as paper, their mouths agape. I could have sworn that their hearts skipped a few beats when the video played the first time. Then one of them looked at the other, he gave him a slight nod as if he had just completed some kind of mission. The one called Pierre cleared his voice. “What do you want?”he asked. He didn't seem so confident now. In fact he seemed downright scared. But what was there to be afraid of, he thought. I’m not going to kill you or anything, so calm down. Calm down.“Well, first of all, you need to answer a question for me” A smirk appeared on my face. The man looked surprised but nodded in agreement. “Did you really think you could get away with hara
Sebastian’s POV “The French men, they molested me” The words fell off her lips and I could feel the blood rushing to my face, though there was no emotion on her face. This was a mistake, I must have misheard. It couldnt be possible. All I saw was red. I was angry and sad and confused and scared. I couldn't remember why I had felt these things, but I remembered those words very cleary. Those words were engraved into my mind, they found a way to keep themselves in my memory. It played on a loop in my mind, the image of her lying broken and bleeding on the floor, the smell of her fear in my nostrils, her broken soul. It felt like I could remember her, more like sew every single detail, the sound of her screams, and every single word she screamed. The way her eyes were wide open and full of fear as she tried to call for me, I'd always hear it echoing in my mind. I could picture the men laughing while they tossed her back and forth, I could imagine them staring at her luscious body,
Alina’s POV My vision blurred when I woke up and blinked away the dark spots in front of my eyes, trying to understand where I was, what happened. My body felt tense like a rubber band pulled taut as it stretched from my shoulders to my knees, but when I tried to move any muscle in my body it just hurt. It was like there were wires connected to all my limbs, some in my back, others in my legs and feet. It made it hard for me to sit up, so I had to lean against the bed.“Relax…” I heard a familiar voice. “Just relax. You're fine.""Mister?" I croaked out, my voice sounding raw even to my own ears. He laughed.“From Sebastian to Mister, but I will take it” he said. His voice sounded distant, like I was listening through a tunnel. “You're safe here, we're going to get you out of that position in a few minutes, just let your muscles uncoil." His warm hand rested lightly on my shoulder. “I feel trapped.”"It's okay...you're not trapped." I could hear the smile in his voice. “You ju
Sebastian’s POVShe looked so frail as she laid there in the hospital bed, her head was wrapped up in bandages and her face pale and sickly looking from her blood loss. After she stormed off at the park, I didn't go after her. I didn't expect her to go far either but soon time passed and there was no sign of Alina. So I assumed she had gone home but when I got home, she wasn't back. She didn't answer any of my calls or texts. Eventually she returned, her shoulders hung lowly in defeat but still she stood tall with a defiant tilt to her chin and a determined set to her eyes. I could still tell something wasnt right from the way her body stiffened and her gaze avoided mine. “Where have you been?” She shrugged noncommittally. “Around.” Her voice sounded like it belonged to someone else. It was quiet and flat and hollow. But the more her expression changed, the more I realized how much I hated that look on her. It only lasted a second before her facade slipped and tears fell
Alina’s POV I didn't tell Sebastian anything when I got home. There was nothing to tell. I maintained a distance as much as I could, not responding when he spoke to me. I couldn't let him know what had happened. That would only mean more chaos. I was tired of the chaos it had managed to become a part of my everyday life.I was going to see the French men by myself the next day, I would make it work, with or without his help.“What are you offering?”“A partnership with my company is going to be a big step for us. It would give a fusion both to French and American culture , it gives people the same experience. My team will be in charge of developing the products and marketing your own, it is going to bring us together.” I smiled at the men in front of me . They looked like business tycoons but their demeanor was different - they weren't arrogant or condescending. In fact, they seemed eager to have a collaboration between companies. A few seconds of silence passed between them, as if
Alina POVAlina. "Mrs. Wolfe" I muttered under my breath. I stared at the ring on my finger, still in shock from everything that had happened in the past few hours. I couldn't believe I'd gone from married to divorced to married again in the span of a day. My life was really one big mess. "We're
Alina POV"I want to speak to Sebastian Wolfe” I said as I stepped up to the front desk. The dark haired secretary took her time, running a mocking gaze over me, from my dirty, wrinkled dress to my cheap shoes, messy hair and ruined make up. I knew I looked crazy, but I didn't care. I was a desper

Alina POV"Oh God," I let out a moan I didn't feel as the man began to kiss a line down my throat, hands roaming all over my body. The man mouthed at my exposed cleavage, making a sound of pleasure low in his throat, "God, baby. You taste so good." Of course I did, I had spent over three hours so
