KIKI POV
“Do you want to go somewhere else,”
Do I feel comfortable hearing the sound of a stranger asking if we go somewhere else? Totally no but to hell with being insecure.
I have always played it safe, been the good college girl, not any more “Yes,”
He could sense my hesitation, “It’s alright if you don’t want—”
I didn’t let him finish, I leaned into him, holding his chin and locking my lips on his.
When I pulled away, I could feel he was already getting harder, that was my cue alone, this man wanted me as much as I wanted him.
He leaned in on me kissing my neck, and boy, that felt good.
We were in the public and what we were doing could make someone shout “Get a room,”
Oddly, Terry was taking things slowly, “Do you feel better?” He swayed my waist, running his hands on my hip.
The same one I was always on a weight loss routine for because Jordan hated it.
I would be lying if I replied yes to Terry. I didn’t feel better, I could still remember Jordan so much so I couldn’t just enjoy the moment with Terry.
“Let’s get out of here,” I responded instead like that would make me feel much better
All I knew, he wasn’t forcing me, we were both adults, high on alcohol and hormones, his name was Terry.
Next thing we had booked a room and the moment we were alone, no eyes, no loud music, just us and slow music in the background.
He sat on the bed and I stood right in front of him, clueless about what I was supposed to do at that point?
But, the way he looked at me, at my curves, like he was seeing every inch of my body, it made my heart pound with nervous excitement.
“Green is my favourite colour,” Terry smirked, his eyes lazily tired and a little drunken “You look beautiful in that dress,”
I see, he’s a sweet talker, isn’t he? My gaze shifted from his eyes to his lips, I wanted to taste him again.
I walked closer, sat beside him. “What is your favourite colour?” he inched closer to me.
“Pink?”
“Just when you want all this stop, you say pink and I would”
Oh that sexy voice of his, I nodded.
Terry ran his hand first on my collar bone, tracing an invisible line, before moving his hand to my boobs, he leaned in to kiss my lips.
He gave my boobs a hard squeeze and I moaned into the kiss while he started to run his hand around my body.
Terry started to plant soft kisses on my skin, he moved from my cheek, my neck and when he got to my boobs, I shuddered. Do I really want to go on with this?
With a stranger and not Jordan?
“I caught my Ex cheating,” I blurted before I could stop myself,
Terry propped his head up, from my chest like I had ruined the moment,, “Do you still love him?”
“Yes, he is my first love and… and—”
“Shhh,” Terry’s placed a finger over my lips "Don't think about him,”
How was that even possible? Before I could say more, Terry's lips locked on mine, his hands slid onto my thigh before he slipped his hand under my dress.
Oh that felt so good. He carefully propped me on the bed, so my legs were wide apart with him in the middle. His hands gently roamed my skin, taking off my dress to unveil the sexy lingerie I had worn inside.
“God, you are beautiful,”
Really? Or he was seriously one of those men that would say anything just to get their way.
He took off his shirt, and his trousers, damn he was hard already, he leaned in closer. “You can say your favourite colour if you want me to stop,”
I wanted more, I wanted him.
***
The next morning, I woke up alone. Terry wasn’t there. Beside the bed, there was a note written on a tissue paper
“I’m just a call boy. No strings attached, bye Kiki,”
And just like that I slept with a stranger. A consensual sex with a call boy who didn’t demand for money? Life was good.
I dragged myself out of the bed, took a taxi and headed home.
My mom had already left for work, the house was empty and that’s what I wanted, to sleep the hangover headache away until I figured what next with my life.
I walked into my room but the door was left ajar, I thought it was my brother sitting there but it was…
“Jordan?”
He looked up to me from his phone, his eyes first on my dress, very sure it was nothing of admiration. “Where are you coming from dressed like that?”
“What are you doing here?”
“Seriously?” Jordan arched his brow
Jordan was like a son to my parents but I needed to know the guts he had to just show up in my parents home like he had not done anything yesterday.
“You know what I mean,” I responded, feeling the headache worsten. I really need to shower and sleep.
“We did not break up Kiki, you are still my girlfriend,” Jordan walked closer, “I still love you, Kiki”
I still love Jordan but not after what he did and after years of his words about my size.
“Let’s break up Jordan,” I replied instead
“Come on Kiki, you didn't want to have sex with me, instead you went on about your size and shit,” Jordan snapped
“You see that is the reason, everything is about my size, you have never accepted me the way I am”
“You eat a lot and don't work out, what is there to accept?” Jordan shouted
“I am not having this conversation with you Jordan," I turned to move but Jordan pulled me, grabbing my butt “Do you want other men looking at you? Why didn't you wear a T-shirt?”
His tone disgusted me, he sounded as if he owned me. I pushed him from me and landed a slap on his face “I am not your doll okay, this relationship is over. Go back to your blonde perfect slim girl,”
“Over?” Jordan scoffed, rubbing his cheek “After everything I have done for you Kiki, this is how you repay me? I put up with all your insecurities and tantrums for years—“
“Stop trying to be manipulative right now,”
“I need a reimbursement of every dime I have spent on you, I have the receipts"
He was obviously joking
Jordan snatched my bag, “What is your problem?” I tried to take it back.
He took out my phone, dropped it on the floor, and stomped on it
“Jordan! Stop” my eyes widened, he didn't stop there, he took my macbook on the desk and crushed it on the floor.
“This is my money, I paid for it,” he turned to me, after crashing all my devices “Pay back every dime I spent on you, my lawyers would get in touch.”
He walked away
My jaw was wide open, I was too stunned to say a word. Tears rolled down my eyes as I picked my phone to see the broken screen
On the notification bar was an email from my former professor, “... open for an internship position…”
I couldn't see the mail clearly because of the ink on the screen.
****
“What happened to your phone?” my brother asked his eyes pinning right at me
“It… it fell off the stairs, while I-“
“Are you lying to me, Kiki?” Harry’s eyes zeroed in on me “This phone looks like it was stepped on,”
The truth was that Harry never liked Jordan, nor even trusted him.
A couple of times I had disrespected him just because I was defending Jordan.
I wasn’t about to start telling Harry everything that happened, he would tell me he told me so.
“I fell off the stairs and accidentally stepped on it, okay?” I responded trying to draw a fine line between not talking about my phone while still being respectful.
Harry was ten years older than me, I was twenty four now but to him, I would probably always be his little sister.
“Mom told me you were back so I came. Have you met your little boyfriend since you got back?”
In fact, yes, he was the reason I was back in the city as soon as I finished my exams.
“He is not in town,” I responded, fighting so hard to forget Jordan’s angry dark eyes from hours ago.
After he left, I took my bath and got in bed crying about the whole situation. I got woken up by Harry asking me about my phone
“I thought I was going to hear you both broke up,” Harry exhaled, putting his hand into his pocket. “So what’s next after school?”
My brother was an attorney and he was doing quite well for himself, having built a network of rich clients.
“I got an internship”
“Fuck internship, I didn’t work my ass off all these years so you enter the job market as an intern,”
“But I have to climb up the corporate ladder—”
“No, you will climb up using the elevator,” he responded
“I’m sorry Harry, I don’t want to take the easy way,”
“Are you sure?” He arched his brow at me like I was still his toddler sister talking gibberish
“Well if you say so,” he looked down and typed on his phone “I just placed an order for a new phone, it will be shipped today. I have to go now,”
“Thank you, Harry” I said calmly before he could walk away, back to his busy life.
He turned to leave, then paused. “If you change your mind about the job offer though, let me know.”
