50: Painful mating bond

I went about my day at the office, the weight of Aurora's disappearance hung heavy on my mind, casting a dark shadow over everything I did. It really shouldn’t bother me that she has run away but it does. It really does in ways I shouldn’t be.

Each task I tackled seemed to pale in comparison to the burning anger and frustration that simmered beneath the surface. I can’t believe she had the nerve to truly run away after how I intimidated and even threatened her at some point.

Unable to shake the sense of betrayal that gnawed at my insides, I found myself more snappy than usual, snapping at colleagues and biting off terse replies to even the simplest of questions. It is so not my personality with all the charms I usually drop.

My temper flared at the slightest provocation, my patience stretched thin as I struggled to maintain control in the face of mounting pressure. Yeah, Mia is getting the brunt of it and that flirty outfit she is wearing today too might get her
