LOGINShe’s a deadly assassin with no name. He’s a cursed Lycan King, forbidden to love. When Kael scents Seraphina—the infamous Shadow Siren—as his fated mate, his world turns upside down. She escapes from him and all his effort to find her was futile. But Seraphina isn’t the kind of woman who can be claimed. She’s part witch, part fae, and all danger sent by The Order to spy on the very man fate says she belongs to. Love was never part of her mission… and certainly never part of Kael’s prophecy. As demons rise and supernatural war looms, their bond becomes more than fate—it becomes a weapon. But with Seraphina’s secrets threatening to unravel everything, and Kael’s wolf on the edge of madness, the line between love and destruction begins to blur. One wrong move could ignite a war. One kiss could change everything. And one truth could destroy them both. When fate ties a killer to a king, can love still bloom in the shadows? What secret prophecy connects them… and what price will they pay to survive it?
View MoreKael's wolf was restless, pacing, growling and agitated. He stood on the highest balcony of the obsidian skyscraper that served as both his business headquarters and his hidden fortress. The city below him pulsed with noise - flashing lights, honking horns from cars, humans buzzing around like bees. None of these was enough to settle the unease of his wolf.
His wolf was on edge. He gripped the marble rail, his knuckles turning bone white. He had experienced his wolf being on edge before, several times, but this was different.
Behind him footsteps echoed.
"Supreme Alpha Kael," Roran's steady voice came first - deep, disciplined and ever loyal. Kael's beta."You need to take a look at this."
Roran had come to stand beside the alpha at the balcony, passing him a stack of documents which Kael didn't take. "Did something happen?" Roran asked, sensing the mood.
"Maybe he had a dream where a sexy siren bit his neck and left without saying goodbye." Lucien said, rubbing his chin dramatically.
Lucien, his Gamma, was always the one with a smirk and a punchline, most times even when death was on the table sitting across them. He was tall and slim with a messy copper hair and eyes too sharp to match his boyish charm. Sometimes, Kael asked himself while he had chosen him as a Gamma. But yes, Lucien was equal to the task. He was ruthless and very clever when that was needed.
Kael's jaw tensed. "Nothing happened" He didn't turn but his voice was colder than the wind around them.
"Right," Roran said dryly. "You've been fine all morning. That's why your wolf is practically clawing through your skin and your scent's like a damn thunderstorm."
"You know, I was starting to wonder if..." Lucien was saying with a crazy voice when Kael shot him a glance.
"Okay, okay" He put his hands up "No jokes before 12 am."
Roran stepped closer "We've got pressing issues" He said cautiously. "The vampires in the North are rallying. The witches are retaliating and some idiot bloodsuckers are trading demon-brand artifacts like candy on Halloween.”
Kael finally turned, his eyes flashing a dull, melted gold. His wolf snarled, impatient and untamed. His head snapped towards his Beta, eyes burning "How does that have to do with us, Roran? Any thing that doesn't involve our race should not be brought to me."
Roran sighed "But Kael, you told me to update you about the witches and vampires."
"We will talk about this matter later." Kael's voice was cold.
Roran stared at him in disbelief as he was about to say something.
"Let it go, Roran," Lucien said quickly.
Without another word, Kael turned and stalked towards the elevator.
Roran and Lucien exchanged glances.
"Going to the office?" Roran asked. The alpha didn't give any reply.
"Where else" Lucien rolled his eyes. "Where else does a grumpy billionaire alpha go to scare mortals into shitting their thousand dollar suits?"
Kael Wayne, the legendary name of the Wayne Family, who were famous in both the human world and supernatural world. He was the iconic CEO of Wayne Company in the human world. The company was run behind the scene by him, not many souls were fortunate enough to see him. Non-important meetings were held by his Beta and Gamma, while he only held important meetings with important people. He was a billionaire whom people feared and respected.
He was currently the Supreme Alpha of the Silver Moon Pack, the pack established by him which he didn't share with either the vampires or witches. He leads all lycans, werewolves and their packs.
The majority of his staff were supernatural creatures, not many were humans.
An hour later,
"You are telling me," Kael snapped at one unfortunate CFO, " —that after a month of planning, your team still hasn't secured the permits?"
He sat at the head of the obsidian glass table, flanked by his advisors and board members. High-powered men and women with polished smiles, every executive sat stiffly. They were barely breathing.
The temperature in the room was capable of freezing lava over and over again.
Reports were read cautiously. Quarterly profits, expansion update... but every little flaw was met with Kael's ice-cold and withering eyes. "We were waiting for legal...." The CFO shivered trying to keep his voice steady.
"Then fire legal," Kael snarled, his eyes sharp "And fire yourself while you are at it."
The man's face visibly paled.
"Si…sir—"
Kael's deep voice dropped an octave. "Why do you stutter in my presence? It's irritating!" His gaze swept throughout the room full of seven people from his board of directors, not one of them could dare look him in the eyes.
The air in the room felt thinner. A woman from the marketing department trembled.
Roran, who was still seated at the side, watched carefully.
Something seemed off with the Alpha. Kael was always cold, but this..... this was lethal.
Even Lucien was not in the mood to crack a joke.
Another man nervously coughed.
Kael's eyes sliced towards him. "Are you sick?" His voice was laced with irritation.
"No—no, Supreme Alpha..... I mean, CEO Wayne." He had almost forgotten they were in the midst of humans and so the Supreme Alpha title had to be dropped.
Kael stood so abruptly, the room jolted. He inhaled and exhaled trying to calm himself down but it was useless. He opened his eyes which flickered gold and then turned to black immediately. That wasn't a good sign.
Roran saw this, standing up too. "All of you leave. This meeting is over."
No one argued. In fact they were relieved as they all nearly stampeded to get out.
Kael remained standing, his back turned to the giant windows. His shoulders are rigid.
Roran waited until the door closed and turned back, scrutinizing the Alpha. "What the hell is going on with you, man?"
Lucien walked around the table, his hands deep in his pockets. "I'd blamed a bad hookup, but we both know the only thing Kael's fucking is his own temper."
"Not now, Lucien," Roran said.
Kael turned, glaring at him.
"What?" Lucien asked innocently. "Take a look at him."
Kael spun, a growl coming out of his mouth - his eyes glowing faintly golden.
"I should rip your tongue out."
Lucien gave a small smirk. "Then you had missed my charming company. Even though you don't admit it, Kael . You so much love me!"
Roran shook his head in disbelief at Lucien. He faced the Alpha again. "Kael—"
"Address me properly!!!." He snarled in his alpha tone.
Upon hearing the alpha tone, Lucien and Roran couldn't help but lower their heads in submission. They were surprised by his sudden rampage.
The alpha tone commands respect. It can shape opinions and guide choices of lycans and werewolves, if used in a good way by the alpha. It was no joke, especially when it came from the Supreme Alpha. Lower rank wolves wouldn't be able to withstand it. If a Lycan or werewolf denies an alpha tone the consequence for them was the same as physical torment. And no one between Roran and Lucien would've wanted that to ever happen to them.
"Yes, Supreme Alpha" They both said in unison.
Roran glared at Lucien while Lucien straightened, looking more serious.
"Let's go," Kael said, marching out.
"Experimenting on us? Like lab animals? The pack councils will riot if this gets out. Most of our younger werewolves are already beginning to fear going out alone after dark. The fear is spreading through the packs like a plague, Kael." Kael remained completely silent, his mind spinning at an astronomical speed as he connected the pieces of the puzzle. The severity of the situation was staggering. For centuries, the Lycan King and the supernatural high courts had maintained an ironclad dominance over the mortal world through sheer force, ancient magic, and total secrecy. But now, an elusive, shadowy figure was turning the predators into prey. "So this man... this Mr. Dante..." Kael mused aloud, his golden eyes burning with a dark, predatory light as he analyzed the threat. "He isn't just the ruthless leader of a high-tier assassin agency. He has a distinct, terrifying possibility of being the one causing the widespread mayhem across the city. He is the one making all supernaturals
The double doors of Kael’s private, inner sanctum slid shut with a heavy, pressurized hiss that signaled the absolute seal of the room’s biometric locks. Constructed from reinforced titanium alloy and lined with localized sound-dampening fields, the chamber was entirely soundproof. It was a space designed with acute supernatural paranoia in mind; the acoustic dampening was so severe that even a werewolf with prime sensory capabilities standing right outside the glass would hear nothing but absolute, deadening silence. Inside, the air was cool, carrying the faint, crisp scent of leather, expensive single-malt whiskey, and the heavy aura of the Lycan King himself. Lucien barely waited for the security lights to blink from red to a secure green before he let out a loud, booming laugh that echoed off the minimalist walls. He tossed his suit jacket onto the leather sofa and turned to Kael, his handsome features flushed with genuine, unbridled amusement. "I swear to the moon, Kael,
Seraphina’s eyes widened to the point of aching, the thick lenses of her glasses magnifying the sheer, unadulterated panic reflecting in her pupils. Her heart, which had been hammering with the lethal instinct of a cornered assassin a second ago, now pivoted into the frantic rhythm of a completely bewildered, out-of-the-loop corporate employee. She looked at Kael’s severe, impossibly chiseled face, then glanced past his massive shoulder at the stone-faced bodyguards and the entirely amused Lucien. "M-Mr. DarkSlade..." she stammered, her voice pitching up into a perfect, reedy squeak. She deliberately let her knees tremble, allowing her weight to sag against the reinforced glass wall of the elevator. "I—what did I do wrong? Is there a problem with the third-quarter reports? I haven't even opened my laptop yet today, I swear!" Kael’s grip on her upper arm didn't loosen. If anything, the tension radiating from his large hand increased, his dark golden eyes narrowing until they were mer
The digital clock on the nightstand hadn’t even blinked to 5:00 AM when Seraphina bolted upright, her gasping breath cutting through the heavy silence of her darkened bedroom. Her skin was slick with cold sweat, her heart hammering against her ribs like a trapped bird.It was a nightmare. This time it was different. Not the usual fire nightmare. She had been having the fire one for as long as she could remember but this one was new. In the dream, she was running through an endless, suffocating fog, the air thick with the metallic scent of copper and old magic. A pair of glowing, predatory eyes—vast and terrifyingly golden—watched her from the shadows, tracking her every movement. No matter how fast she ran, no matter how deeply she hid her presence, those eyes always found her. And right before she woke up, a deep, resonant voice echoed through the void, and whispered words that vibrated in her very bones: You Can't Run From Your Destiny.Seraphina rubbed her temples, trying to shake
"We've gathered that the man who runs the organization, The Order, has travelled outside the country for a mission as he says. You're expected to follow him everywhere without his knowledge.. and inform me on everything."His tone is firm, steady, leaving no room for questions. But of course.. Luc
"Mama!! Mama!!”Seraphina jerk open her eyes and quickly sat up.. panting heavily. Her head ached and her hands moved to her forehead wiping off beads of sweat. She reached out for the glass of water and pills on the nightstand. She stared at it and sighed deeply before gulping it down. She inhaled
Seraphina cursed under her breath. That scent, those eyes. Something stirred deep inside her, a craving she didn't ask for. With a surge of energy, she pushed him away and turned, leaping over a broken bench. Her body twisted mid-air as she slid into a nearby room, ducking behind a collapsed altar.
Roran almost hit the brakes right there on the road. "Your what?!!!"Lucien's jaw dropped, "You mean like... mate mate? As in fated by the Moon Goddess, mate?"Kael didn't answer with words. He didn't need to.The growl vibrating in his chest said everything.Lucien leaned his head back, muttering u
