Rejection
It had been a month since we moved into our new house, a month since Lucas proposed, and now here I was knocking on my parent’s door. Lucas had told me he would come with me, he had insisted it was only right. Even with him being with me I was nervous. Normally I would just walk in but things weren’t the same anymore. They hadn’t accepted Lucas and now that Cody was “missing” things wouldn’t be any better.
Mom came to the door and when she opened it her mouth fell open. “Taylor...” her eyes moved straight to my now 6 months along stomach then up past me to Lucas. I had no idea if she’d even known I was pregnant. I could only assume Cody had told her.
“Can we come in mom? Lucas and I would like to talk to you and dad.” Even as I said the words mom looked confused looking once again up at Lucas.
