Masuk"I bet she'd cry her eyes out when Mr CEO finally gets married to Sheila, did you see Sheila? She screams Power!"
"She walked like a duchess, my kind of human, Ivy will cry blood." "Say that sh!t again b!tch." Larisa suddenly came out behind them. She just walked into the company trying to catch up with Ivy, only to walk into gossiping slots slandering Ivy right beside her. She grabbed their hair at once and started dragging with her full force, pure anger dripping from her breath. If only they knew she was his wife, Larisa just couldn't stand it. Ivy kept quiet while hearing them badmouth her with those accusations that were not true. It added more rage to her anger, and she pulled their hair with an added force. Apart from Larisa, nobody else knew she was Ryder's wife and that was because Larisa and Ivy started working at the company at the same time and got deeply close since then, she even entrusted her with secrets nobody knew about. "Let go of my hair! Have you gone mad!" Scarlet screamed in pain, unable to turn her head. Larisa wasn't ready to let go yet, as her rage intensified, until Ivy nodded at her. "Watch your tongues else I'll rip them off next time," she warned while they gasped for air, massaging their scalp. "B!tch." Scarlet cursed silently, her face red from anger. Larisa glared at her, going to grab her again but Ivy was quick to hold her back. "Let's go." Then she grabbed Ivy's hand and they left for the elevator When they got to their floor, they separated to their various office. But first, Ivy must go check Ryder's office. Wondering if he came to work, she bit on her lips, her eyes getting teary, and her heart heavy as though some rocks had settled on her chest. After what he had done yesterday, she wasn't sure if she'd be able to look him in the eyes this morning, but she must see him. She had her heart thumping faster now as she stood in front of his door. She held the door and slowly, pushed it open. There, Ryder sat, majestically on his chair, in new clothes different from the ones he wore yesterday. His face dug into his laptop. His sharp jaw line from the side gave him a perfect look, and as usual, his hair stylishly brushed, she was her dream man, her husband, she could never stop loving this man, every day she fell in love with him over and over again. Ryder noticed her presence, but he was engulfed in his work, he was going to listen to everything she had to say even without looking at her, she of all people should know he doesn't like to be disturbed while at work. "Ryder?" She called, her voice soft and almost breaking. Ryder always had this effect on her. She melts and melts when it comes to Ryder. He nodded in reply. "Ryder.." She called again, waiting for him to look at her, she wanted to see if he had any guilt in his eyes at all for what he did. But Ryder wasn't ready to look at her, his face still glued to his laptop. She had anger brewing inside of her now, he didn't come home last night and didn't inform her about it and he couldn't even man up to say he was sorry? He couldn't say anything about it? He was just sitting there working as though what he did was just a normal thing. Ivy's breath heightened in anger. Then she turned around to leave, but only then Ryder grabbed her hand. "Ivy." He called. She stood, her face thrown away now, waiting for him to start his explanation, but he didn't do any of that, instead, he asked. "Is everything okay?" Ivy had her eyes squinted, was he really asking that? "Ryder, you didn't come home last night." Ivy finally muttered. Her face was pale and her eyes stared into his now. The guilt or remorse she was looking for earlier, none of it was there, what Ryder did, keeping her awake and never returning home last night nor informing her about it, was absolutely nothing to him. Ivy's heart dropped once again. Her husband was slowly becoming someone else. "Oh, I see where this attitude is coming from now.." He muttered. "Is that what you have to say?" Ivy couldn't believe her ears. She looked at him, her heart broken, this wasn't the Ryder she used to know. "Look Ivy, don't make a drama out of this, it's just.. Sheila was back and I just organized a few welcome parties for her, we were there all through the nights, I wasn't the only one there, our childhood friends were there as well.." He muttered, dishing it off as though that meant absolutely nothing. Maybe it didn't mean anything? Maybe Ivy was overthinking this whole thing, but Ryder had never done such a thing in the past, the least she'd ever want was to see even the tiniest change in her husband. "But you should've at least informed me, right?" She muttered. He held her hand, drawing her closer to himself now. "That's right, I'm sorry baby, it won't happen again." Ivy's heart softened, she let out a deep breath, a smile slowly finding its way to her face. She held the back of his neck as his chin rested on her stomach where he sat. "I have something to tell you.." She muttered, smile still on her lips. Ryder nodded for her to go on, his hand on her waist and eyes staring into hers with a smile on his face. But just as she opened her mouth to speak, a knock came on the door, followed by a slight push. "Oops.. did I interrupt something?" Sheila muttered finding her way towards.Ivy's heart thumped faster in her chest. Was this it? Getting found out this way? She balled her fist under the table, her jaw clenching harder. This b!tch Lucielle. Set to expose her now. "Ivy, is that true?" Her mother-in-law's voice came through. Ivy bit on her lower lip. Getting cringed by all these eyes on her. Even Grandpa Walton's eyes were on her with such a beaming expression. Oh, how she wished she could say the truth, to make Grandpa Walton happy. But she wasn't sure of her marriage anymore. She wasn't sure if Ryder was apt enough to be her baby's father anymore. Tears threatened to well up in her eyes. She had always wanted to make Grandpa Walton happy for loving her so much by giving him a great-grandchild, and now that it was here, she couldn't even tell him. This broke her heart. "Ivy.." Ryder called, confused by her silence. "No.. I've been eating anyhow lately, that's why." She muttered. "Of course.. It's unusual for you to get pre
Ivy sat down, her heart beating faster in her chest. What had come over Ryder? She wished her husband had returned for good. They arrived at Grandpa Walton's mansion a few hours into their drive. Everyone could be seen dressed in elegant attire. Ivy's countenance eased up even more at the thought of seeing Grandpa Walton after such a long time. Ivy had joy brewing in her chest. This birthday brought good luck with it. Still hoping Ryder would make everything right with their marriage. They were meant to be a happy family. Her baby was supposed to have a father, so why couldn't Ryder just make everything right so she could just inform him? In a split second, they arrived at the entrance. From afar, Ivy sighted Grandpa Walton, Seated on his chair, elegantly. Her happiness erupted seeing the smile on his face. Grandpa was one of the sweetest souls Ivy had ever met. And he liked her so much. Just as she made to go and meet him where he sat, her mother-in-law
Ivy lay on her bed with her eyes wide open. She wondered where her husband had gone with Sheila.Figuring she couldn't deal with this alone, she decided to put a call to Larisa. But after calling several times, Larisa never picked up.Deep sighs escaped her lungs. Larisa was an early sleeper, maybe she had fallen asleep. She was now alone in her dilemma, alone in her marriage, with nobody to comfort her or distract her even for a moment. She was losing her husband to his ex. With so many thoughts jumbled on her mind, Ivy finally drifted off to sleep.--------Light rays pierce through her window into the room. She turned around on the bed.Her eyes opened slowly and suddenly opened wide as they stopped on Ryder in front of the mirror. She placed her head back on the pillow, admiring the back of the man who had chosen to disrespect her and neglect their marriage. Their bond was dying yet Ryder couldn't make it right. When did he get home last night? Ivy had no idea. They were drifti
A few minutes later, the door pushed open, revealing Ryder entering their home... with his handbag right behind him. "What are you doing here?!" Ivy couldn't contain her anger "What are you doing here! How dare you come into my home!" She seethed. "Calm down Ivy, I'm here to apologise." She muttered and Ivy's eyes squinted, her face almost disgusted. This could be another trick of hers. Then she came forward to where Ivy stood, "Ivy, I'm sorry for talking down on you earlier. You know I've never done that before.. I'm a lil not myself today. I'm truly sorry and this will never happen again." Sheila apologized, her tone very soft and regretful. Enough to fool anyone into believing she was real. But Ivy wasn't a fool. She knew what she was doing, she was just doing this for the show. To bring back her soft deceitful image Ryder had always known her for... Did she just say she had never done that before? What about back at her office earlier today? Ivy scoff
Her pupils dilated as she walked closer, the sound of her heels adding to her elegance. "So you think you can shop here hun? Does this look like a thrift store to you?" She mocked. Ivy bit her lower lip. Sheila seems not to have any other things going on in her life except her and Ryder. "This b!tch." Ivy cursed under her breath, trying to maintain her composure. Ignoring her, she walked up to Larisa. "Let's get out of here." She muttered. Larisa's brows raised. "Why?" She asked. Just then Sheila came behind them. "I know you'd come here with your minion." Larisa couldn't help but glare. Inside her, she was a bit scared as she might get sacked. Then she agreed with Ivy. They had to leave, but then this was the best place to shop for the pretty dress Ivy would need for Grandpa Walton’s birthday. "Why don't we just buy this then we leave?" Larisa suggested, showing Ivy the dress she had in her hands. It was beautiful too. As they talked to the sales rep, ign
"Sheila. Get a hold of yourself. What we had then is in the past. I have a wife now." Ryder muttered, his tone cold. Sheila sighed. Since she came back, there was nothing she had not done to get Ryder into bed with her, but his mind was too strong. But she'd get him, definitely. He was hers from the beginning and would always be hers. "Alright, let's go for lunch. I'd love to have lunch outside today, " she muttered, her tone seductive. "I'm choked with work right now Sheila, I'll join you soon." Ryder muttered. With that, Sheila knew he had just turned her down. Who was Ivy? Even if she was beautiful, she was more beautiful than her. She had the vibe that Ryder needed. Why was he playing hard to get back? Seething with anger and resentment, she made a note in her heart, if she couldn't get Ryder like this, then she'd frustrate Ivy out of his life. She'd go back to that b!tch now. Her heels clicking loudly on the cold floor, complementing the anger boiling inside her
