MEGAN’S POV

Alpha Austin stared at me with shock in his eyes. He had always known that I was a weak omega, and he knew how much I was bullied. Hence, seeing me almost squeezing life out of Kayla with just a movement of my hand got him stunned.

I forcefully pulled back my hand, and Kayla staggered to the ground but before she could fall, she landed on the table behind her. So she held the table tight, and managed to raise her head, staring at me in astonishment and disbelief.

“You… you dare hurt me?” Kayla stared at me with narrowed eyes, but I didn’t bother to reply her.

Nathan scoffed in disgust. “You know what? You’re right.”

They exchanged glances at each other. “Right? About what?” Austin questioned anxiously.

“Jealous? Actually, I’m pretty sure Eleazar has my blood in him.” Nathan replied with a soft snort, and that triggered Austin even more. “What? Feeling better?” He rolled his eyes.

I could see Austin’s fist clench in anger. “So you were pregnant with another man’s baby while you were married to me?” His voice sounded so sure even if it was just a question.

Tears circulated my eyes. 3 whole years? I can’t believe I was married to him for that long, yet he doesn’t even trust me. I didn’t let him say another word before landing a slap on his cheek. Everyone gasped as Austin held onto his cheek. However, he didn’t look surprised like he expected the slap he got.

“How dare you? You are the last person who gets to judge me. You want to find someone to blame, why don’t you look in a damn mirror. Now you stay out of my way.” My voice was defined and firm.

Slowly, I turned back to Nate, who smiled proudly at me as I held his hand.

“Oh, my goddess! Here he comes, the Alpha King and the current Alpha of the Moon Royal Pack.” I could hear the whispers that rented in the air.

“Is he announcing the heir?”

“I heard the Moon Heiress is his child. No one has ever seen her. Could it be that she’s back?”

My face beamed with smiles as my father, the Alpha King walked up to the platform with his assistant behind him.

“Ladies and gentlemen, thank you all for gathering here tonight. It’s time I introduce you all to the new Alpha of Moon Royal Pack, and the Moon heiress of the werewolf clan.” He started with a wide smile on his face.

Kayla scoffed in disgust. “Austin, I can’t believe you actually married such a gold digger. She really knows how to land on her feet, huh? First it was you, Lucien and now this? Who knows how many men she have kissed up to just to climb the social ladder.”

“Shut the fuck up.” Alpha Austin whispered in between gritted teeth with his face as cold as ice and his fist clenched tight with anger surging through his veins as he watched me smile and chat with Nathan, who was grinning from ear to ear.

My father, the Alpha King continued. “Everyone, welcome to this event…” He was still speaking when he stared at me smiling, and I shook my head slightly to gesture to him that I didn’t want identity to be disclosed yet.

Hence, he paused, leaving everyone in suspense. Clearing his throat, he continued but this time with a calmer voice. “I know we are all eager to meet the new Alpha Queen, but because of some unforeseen circumstances, we won’t. But that doesn’t stop us from enjoying the party.”

The crowd applauded and cheered him while I smiled. Well, I’m not done with the drama. I can’t let them find out that I’m the Moon Heiress yet.

“I knew it. She can’t be more than a janitor. Who would have thought she had been sleeping around with Mr. Nathan Prescott?” Kayla chipped in again.

Nathan and I held hands as we walked to the platform. Everyone exchanged glances with each other.

“Did you see that? Nathan couldn’t let go of her hand?”

“Do you think they’re a couple? Oh, my God! I’ll break a leg just to get the Alpha Prince to hold me like that. She’s such a lucky lady.”

The more Alpha Austin heard those whispers, the more jealous he was. “He’s the goddamn Alpha Prince? That’s the Alpha King’s nephew and the Moon Heiress’s cousin?” He thought to himself.

Nathan cleared his throat slightly and addressed the public. “Thank you all so much for honouring our invitation. We’re so grateful and happy to have you here. We appreciate your support, but the Moon Heiress isn’t feeling well.”

“Who is this unknown woman beside you?” One of the guests inquired anxiously, staring at me with squinted eyes.

Kayla nodded in agreement. “Alpha Prince, I’m sure you’re not aware how slutty that omega is. It’s disgusting that even a prince like you would go after a wolfless, lowlife gold digger like her.”

Her words infuriated both my father and Nathan. This, Nathan stepped forward with fury in his eyes. “Slap yourself five times.”

“What?” She screamed out in terror, and turned to Austin. “Austin… I…” she was still talking when the force drove her hand straight to her cheek, making a loud sound and everyone started murmuring.

She slapped herself 5 times like Nathan ordered. Her face flushed with embarrassment.

“Alpha Prince, why would you humiliate the Alpha of Crescent Moon Pack’s partner over a human?” One of the guests countered. I only sat there, quiet and staring at them.

“An Alpha Prince publicly punishing a she-Alpha just because of an omega?”

“She must be his lover, and trust me, he must really love her so much. I heard she’s Alpha Austin’s ex wife.”

Austin didn’t say a word, and he couldn’t get his eyes off me. I could see his piercing eyes staring deeply at me. Does he still have feelings for me? No way! I can’t fall for his nonsense again.

“She’s a slut.” Another person murmured and Austin grabbed her neck fiercely.
