Chapter Eighteen
Kim lay awake late in the night, wondering if she had done the right thing. Nate’s arm was entwined with her own, cradling her stomach. The baby chose that moment to kick, as if he knew his parents were just on the other side.
Maybe it was the pregnancy that had swayed her decision, but whatever it was, Kim couldn’t allow charges to be pressed against Alexander. That was the kid’s name, Alexander Robert Stephens.
