Logan’s POV

Lana had told me everything I needed to know, or rather the rhythm of her heart had. She had been close too tears when I had questioned her, but never broke down. It all went down hill when I asked her about the girl in my office.

I already knew they were close, I had seen that in her mind. I just wanted clarification from Lana before I killed Abby.

An adoptive sister. A bitch that wasn’t human or wolf, yet Lana didn’t know what she was. Also her comment about our kind didn’t make sense. The stench of wolves, what was all that about?

Sam was taking over when I left, I knew his brother was sneaking her food so I just gave him the apple to give to her. I couldn’t have her starve to death, not until she accepted my rejection. I wasn't dying for her.
