Eleven.

Lana’s POV

Everything hurt. I hadn’t even opened my eyes, when I feel the throbbing of my bones pulling me out of my slumber.

It takes a moment to get my bearings when Abby clears her throat.

“I think you need to start talking.” Her foot is tapping impatiently next to the bed. I realise that I’m in the spare room of her house.

“How did you get me here?”

“It doesn’t matter. Lana, you need to start talking. I thought we were sisters. You have become so secretive recently. It wasn’t your blood on the floor, so who did it belong to?”

She moves around my bed, pulling back the drapes and letting in the light, making me squint as I try to block the pain. Why were my eyes hurting?

“Come on Lana, spill! I know you used the blade on someone.”

“It was that guy from the hotel. You know, the ginger nut that I had to meet instead,” I push myself up, rubbing my temples. The last I had seen of him was when he ran out of my apartment, clutching at his side.
