Forty Four.

Logan’s POV

The men launched me back into the dungeon, sending my body rolling across the concrete ground.

“Him?” I hear one of them mutter, but no one else speaks as the dungeon door slams shut. I had no idea what they were talking about. As I stand myself up, something moves behind me. Turning on the spot, I see Sam cuffed to the wall, his body beaten and bloodied. He wasn’t healing.

“Sam, what the fuck happened?”

“She tricked me. That witch tricked me!” He mumbles his words, while pulling faces, His bottom lip was swollen.

“Why are you not healing?”

“Wolfsbane!” He mutters, squeezing his eyes shut. Wolfsbane was fatal to him, to any wolf other than myself. I watched as his body cramped up. Pain and fire would be coursing through his veins. His only method of survival would be an antidote. Wolfsbane was the most dangerous thing to a werewolf.

“Who knows you are here, Sam?”

“No one!”

Everyone else from the pack were too far away to reach through mind link. There were no other wolves
