Marco´s POV

The council hall was silent, except for the soft sound of low voices and a few chairs being adjusted. The council members were gathered around the dark wooden table, their faces serious and impassive, watching the alpha as he took his place at the head. His posture was firm, as always, but there was something in his eyes that showed a glimmer of satisfaction, something he rarely allowed to show.

He looked at the counselors, his eyes passing quickly over each of them before he finally spoke, his voice cold, but with a hint of hidden pride.

“The hunt bore more fruit than I expected. The investment, the risks... they were worth it.” - He leaned forward slightly, as if the word "investment" carried more weight than he made it appear. “ Everything went according to plan. Not just the opportunity, but what it reveals... All the pieces are fitting together much more clearly now.”

Silence hung heavy in the room, the advisors staring at each other, exchanging furtive glances. None of them dared interrupt the alpha, but the tension in the air was palpable. There was more in those words than anyone could realize at first glance. They knew what was at stake, but the alpha was playing an even bigger game, in which they could all be pawns at some point.

Alfa continued:

“I declare that what happened was not just a stroke of luck, but a totally calculated move. And the fruits are already beginning to be reaped.” - He paused, fixed his eyes on a point in the distance. “We're closer than we thought.”

He leaned back in his chair, his expression closed, as if he was reflecting on something deeper, but wasn't willing to share it yet. The council waited in silence, aware that the alpha's words always came with hidden layers. His every move was minutely calculated, but not revealed to everyone.

“We'll keep it a secret for now. When the time comes, we'll know what to do. You are dismissed.”

And with that, he stood up, signaling that the meeting was over. The council remained silent, aware that once again the alpha was ahead of everyone, with a plan that had barely begun to unfold.

The cold night wind blew violently against my face as I approached the healer's old hut that stood on the edge of the pack. The atmosphere was impregnated with the usual smell: musk, dried herbs, incense and lighted candles, which I have become accustomed to by necessity.

Dila, the healer is an elderly woman with her gray hair tied in two braids like bows on her head, her skin and black eyes were deep and shone before me as I sat and turned my eyes to the fire that burned softly in the fireplace.

Sometimes I came here just to be silent or to be restrained at worst.

Everything was worth it, as I said. Tell me it interrupts my thoughts:

His voice had a soft, almost serene tone, as if he were talking about something that had been predestined for centuries. “Time reveals all, and finally, what we had been waiting for arrived.”

I remained silent, my eyes now fixed on her. I knew that the healer's words carried more than a simple prediction. She was the only one I trusted with my secrets and my future, and her skill was unmatched.

“It was impossible to keep the child hidden for so long. But with the storm... it was revealed. I could feel it.” - She paused, her eyes seeming to see something beyond the room, something i couldn't see, but knew was there. “ She was in a remote place, where time seemed to move differently, but the storm... brought her out.”

I listened to the words carefully, but inside me an old and painful memory resurfaced. The damn storm. The night I almost lost everything. The night that seemed to have been marked by the heavens, as if everything was conspiring against me and my pack.

I closed my eyes for a moment, allowing myself to relive that fateful night. The deafening sound of the storm, the thunder of lightning, the feeling that something was about to happen... And then the guides appeared, with their mystical voices. They led me to her, to the place where Alina was. I didn't know exactly what I was looking for, but I felt, with every fiber of my being, that she was the key to something greater.

The healer was right... Time fixes everything. It was in time that we found it. I waited, and she appeared, as if it were inevitable.

The words of the guides still echoed in my mind, visions distorted by the storm, but clear in memory. They had taken him to Alina, to the seemingly fragile child who, unknowingly, carried in his being what he most desired. She was not only the key to his ascension, but also to the healing he sought for his pack.

The sense of power he now felt was something he had never experienced before. It was as if the storm had been the blessing he needed so much, bringing out what he needed most, her.

“Alina doesn't yet know what she can do, what she can give us. But I do, and I will use her in whatever way is necessary. She will bring ascension for all of us, and finally, the healing we need."

I looked at her with a fixed, determined gaze. Dila smiled wisely, as if she knew the future was finally aligning with her wishes. She didn't need to say anything else, because I understood what she meant.

“Time always shows us the way. And now is your moment. But remember, alpha... the path to ascension is never simple.” - Dila pondered to me.

I nodded with a cold smile.

Nothing would stop me now.

POV SâmiaI wake up being shaken violently by my brother. My mind is still clouded by sleep, and my body reacts instinctively, trying to push him away.- What's all this John? - I exclaim, pushing his hands away. - Get your hands off me, damn it!- What the hell do you think you're doing Samia, have you lost your mind? - John growls, his voice laced with irritation. - You're not answering any of my calls! The world is crashing down on our heads, and you don't even care! You're irresponsible!Blinking a few times to dispel the numbness of sleep, I let out an exasperated sigh.- What have I done now, for God's sake? I told you I was going for a girls' weekend. There's no mystery here, just fun! - I retort, trying to stay calm.- Dad doesn't think so. He doesn't care about this girls' weekend nonsense. You have to go home. Now. - His eyes shine with frustration, and his hands clench into fists at his sides. My pulse quickens, we're not doing anything wrong or inappropriate here, not that

  • Hybrid: Between Alphas and Secrets    Laments At The Border

POV Alpha Marco The smell of dried blood wakes me up. My mouth is bitter, my skin is sticky, my head is throbbing. My eyes open to the darkness of the forest, the twisted branches above me moving in the wind. I should have known this would happen. But now? What should I do now? I sit down slowly, trying to organize my thoughts. My chest rises and falls with difficulty, my breathing heavy, uneven. Something inside me still pulses erratically, like an echo of what happened. The smell around me is thick. Iron, flesh. My eyes go down, and then I see. Remains. The muscles in my jaw tighten. My throat tightens. I can't stay here. I can't leave this in plain sight. I think quickly. The cave. It's only a few minutes away and it's forbidden to anyone who isn't directly connected to me or part of the guard. There, at least for the time being, no one will find... this. I swallow and force myself to act, brutally pulling the remains out of the ground. The smell spreads, impregnating my nos

  • Hybrid: Between Alphas and Secrets   The Burden Of Discipline

John's POVI've been trying to talk to this irresponsible girl I call my sister for over four hours. If Dad finds out she's out there, and I'm not even sure where exactly, he'll break up with me.And, as if the universe heard my thoughts, here he comes:- Good morning. Where's your sister? I need to talk to her.My father's firm, authoritative voice hits me like a punch in the stomach. I swallow and try to stay calm.- Good morning, Dad. I hope you had a comfortable trip,” I reply, aiming for a cordial tone as my mind works frantically to come up with a convincing response.- Sâmia is at our country house with a colleague. They're having a... girls' weekend. He frowns.- Girls' weekend? - he repeats, as if testing the words, measuring them. - So tell me, John, two she-wolves are alone in our country house, unaccompanied. And you, who should be ensuring your sister's safety, are here, doing nothing? Is that what I understand?I feel his gaze burning into me.- Well, actually... I was a

  • Hybrid: Between Alphas and Secrets   The Storm Within Us

Dila´s POVChaos reigned around me. If I hadn't seen it all with my own eyes, I could have sworn that a wild wolf had come through here, leaving a trail of destruction in its wake. But no, the devastation had another origin.Marco, an Alpha with lycan blood, had completely lost control. At the moment, we were talking - or at least trying to - and in the next instant, his eyes turned black as night, and he simply exploded. He moved like a raging storm, smashing everything in his path before disappearing into the forest.I took a deep breath, trying not to get carried away by the chaotic scene. I knew I had to act fast. So I ignored the damage around me and focused on what I did best: magic. This time, I needed something specific, something powerful. A body domination spell.I sat down in the center of the destroyed hut, surrounded by debris, and began to mutter the incantation. My mind focused on her. So strong and yet so fragile... In the state she was in, finding a breach in her subc

  • Hybrid: Between Alphas and Secrets   Silent Crackle

Alina's POVI was woken up by Samia's nudge. Since meeting Alfa, this was the only time I'd actually been able to get some rest. My mind is racing and my body seems to be at its limit. Through the car's rearview mirror, I can see the deep circles under my eyes and my reddened eyes. I'm a wreck, almost vegetating. - Aren't you coming? - says Sâmia. I just nod, trying to get out of the car seat. I'm really exhausted. - Are you hungry? - Sâmia asks. - No, I'm not. - I answer straight away. - You need to eat a bit, you look pale. Have you lost weight? I don't know. I honestly can't remember the last time I ate. But in the state I'm in, I won't be able to eat anything. - I blurt out, feeling my eyes water. She walks over to me and hugs me. - Come on, Lina. - Hold on. - I say suddenly. - What about the body? My moon goddess... it's a lot to process. - Here's what we're going to do - Samia runs her hands over her head, thoughtfully. - I'm sure that somewhere in the warehouse there

  • Hybrid: Between Alphas and Secrets   Shadows In The Darkness

Josh´s POVThe pain still pulsed through my body, every bruise a reminder of Alpha Marco's fury. He had shown no mercy. I knew my mistake was unforgivable. Losing sight of Alina, allowing her to attack me... But even with all the training I'd had at the Alpha's side, something in her made me pull back. It wasn't a simple instinct for self-preservation - it was something bigger, something I couldn't describe. My legs could barely support me when I finally made it out of the dungeon. Every step was a torment. My body struggled to recover, but the pain was profound. I leaned against the cold wall for a moment, breathing hard. I couldn't show weakness, I couldn't afford to succumb to the pain. After a few minutes, I gathered my strength and headed for my room. The hot steam from the bath relaxed my muscles, but it didn't dispel the revolt. How could I have feared a hybrid? My mind tried to justify my reaction, but the answer lay in the memory of her eyes. They were the Alpha's eyes. That
