Chapter nine

"Where did you say you're from?" Isabelle looked condescendingly at a skinny girl who looked like a ghost beside Claire.

There were five of them altogether. Claire was the last person on the row.

They were in Isabelle's room being interviewed by her. Apparently, she grew bored of her last maid and killed her off wanting a new maid.

Every once in a while she changes maids like they were some toilet paper.

"Stone pack ma'am." The poor girl quivered in her shoes as her eyes danced on her feet.

She was obviously scared to death. Claire couldn't blame her because Isabelle was intimating coupled with what she has done with her past maids.

No one wanted to get chosen by Isabelle because their fate would be sealed from there. But couldn't afford to piss her off either. They all begged the moon goddess not to be chosen by her.

Claire wasn't really scared because she knew she'd never get chosen by Isabelle.

From the gossip she heard from the servants quarters, Isabelle chose tall blonde
