The room stayed quiet after Axel left.

I stood there for a second, just listening. There were sounds outside, but it was just of people moving. They were probably guards and it seemed like Axel was long gone. I let out a breath and turned.

Kade was already looking at me. My maid. It was kind of funny that Made was acting like my maid now. I almost rolled my eyes.

“We need to settle something,” I said.

He raised an eyebrow. “You sound serious. What do we have to settle?”
