Silas took the long route back to Dracula's lair. His assignment was to spy on the werewolves by means of an insider which was Mildred. He was the most good looking vampire amongst his generals and the one Dracula knew would melt the heart of the witch, but what he did not envisage is Silas falling in love with the witch.
"How do I summon the courage to face Dracula with my love for Mildred?", he thought. It was really hard but he had to find a way to let him know.
"I have known him for centuries since he first created me as a vampire, he surely knows my character that I can not betray him".
"He will be disappointed a bit in me but if I can convince him of the greater picture, of lasting peace between the vampires and werewolves, maybe then that would change his mind".
Mildred led Silas to the werewolf's territory. He had never come this close before to her home. On the way to her home there were werewolves everywhere, guarding their territory and keeping off intruders like vampires. But today Silas didn't feel like an intruder, the werewolves let him pass through their territory without batting an eyelid. They had now passed the outskirts of the werewolf's territory and were now on the inside. There were so many werewolves, even Silas couldn't count. He felt like he had walked into a trap but his only comfort was that he knew Mildred was true to her words that he would be safe in the territory of the werewolves."We have to go see Alpha White first", Mildred said to him, as she led the way to his house."Okay", Silas said calmly. The were
Mildred led Silas to a nice looking abode where he would now call home."I'll check on you later in the morning", Mildred said, bidding him good night as she left for her own home."Okay, see you tomorrow", Silas replied.***BACK TO THE PRESENTLucas and his brothers had walked a long way back to the city. Dawn was now only a few hours away.As they walked back into the city, Lucas could see the level of destruction the city had suffered. Cars had been flung into buildings, windows had been shattered, dirty and garbage filled the streets and some parts of the streets were flooded
FLASH BACK TO THE PASTIt was no longer news in the vampire hierarchy that Silas had betrayed Dracula and had joined forces with his enemies. He was now the most hunted vampire alive. Dracula had placed a bounty on his head for his death, but there was a problem: he was living deep within the werewolves territory, under their care and protection and he had not for once strayed outside of it.2 years had passed since he abandoned the vampire hierarchy for the witch and the werewolves. 2 long years Dracula had tried to kill him by every means possible but found it difficult to reach him. He was growing weary already."I need Silas dead, he has lived for far too long!", Dracula yelled in his court chambers. His remaining 5 generals were with him- Cobra, Katharine, Talon,
Mildred had now gotten permission to leave with Silas as soon as noon. She wanted to leave before dark because that was when the vampires were mostly going to attack. She knew a large bounty was still on Silas' head even though it had been two years since it was placed."I have Alpha White's blessing Silas, we can leave!", she said excitedly, as she walked into their quarters."That's goodnews Mildred, I know how much this means to you", Silas said.He was weak but was up and moving around in the house."We don't need too much to move, we need only a few things. This place is still our home and we will come back one day", he said."Yes we will '', Mil
The bus trip out of the city was relatively peaceful. Mildred had gradually caused the mist to disappear and so the driver could easily drive his bus through the road.Silas was calm now but Mildred still ensured he could not perceive any smell just in case the incident that happened the previous time happened again. She thought about what all the blood she saw on the ground could mean. She knew it was deliberately poured all over but how they did it in the daytime without arousing the attention of people made her surprised."It almost worked", she thought to herself.Silas was wide awake all through the journey, he kept his eyes peeled on the road through the window for a possible danger. He still
Silas had waited properly until it was dark outside, the time was now 8 PM and it was time he left."I'll be heading out now", he said to Mildred who was carefully looking outside the window for any sign of strange movements."Okay Silas, the coast is clear", she said, turning to face him.Silas walked towards her and planted a kiss on her lips."Don't worry, it will all be fine dear", he said with a smile. She smiled back at him, she felt so too."You can go", she said."Thank you, I appreciate all you do for me", Silas said, as he
Mildred held Silas in her arms as she wailed his death in anguish. It was really touching sight to behold. In the moment he died, the truth potion he shared with her expired and her sense of loyalty to him ended but the love she had for him was unchanged and she wept bitterly for him. In her sorrow she made the heavens open and it started to rain. Just she and Silas laid on the empty street as it rained poured.***Dracula could hear the sound of a vampire's death cry but this pleased him alot. To hear the death cry he had wished and worked for so long was very satisfying."Ha ha ha ha!", he laughed out loud and he stood up from his lofty throne and spoke into the almost empty hall with only his human male servant; James, there with him.
Mildred was now awake but she found herself in a new surrounding, in a familiar home - the home of Alpha White. She rolled on her side on the bed, she must have fallen into deep sleep as the time was almost midday. She wasn't used to sleeping alone, she always had Silas to keep her company at night."Where is he?" She thought, sitting up on her bed."Hello Mildred", Alpha White's familiar voice called her from the back. He didn't call her in such a way so as to startle her.She turned to face him. He had a broken look on his face but still managed to wear a smile for her."Alpha White, it's good to
