Chapter 3: Meeting The Friend

Leo's POV

After a few hours of working, I'm finally done doing all of today's workload. What's left is to just double check the reports and outputs sent by all departments. I still have some papers waiting for approval given to me by the PR Department but it can wait as there are still plenty of time before creating another project within the company. It's quite easy for me to just scan through those materials later on because for now there is a matter which requires my attention and presence.

I don't know what Luca wants me to know or do with whatever he wants to say. But from the way he spoke to me earlier, I guess something happened with his work. I know it's about work because that's all what he ever does. He's quite workaholic and his life literally just revolves around it. He doesn't really care about bonding or making connection with other people unless he got comfortable at first talk or he needs it for his job.

I was done for the day but I decided to scan through the materials I have checked today. I want to make sure nothing goes wrong again with the materials and costs. Sudden problems occurring wouldn't be good for business as it would delay the time for production and the products created might end up becoming out of season product. While I was reading the files, I noticed that some reports were missing on my table although I was sure it was only there. I opened the drawer and scanned through the items and documents but did not find it.

I called Andrea's office telephone and told her about the missing document I was looking for. Turns out, she was just about to get into my office and hand the files over to me for checking. She knocked on the door of my office and asked for permission to come in. "Come in" I said to her, allowing her to come and give the files to me. She greeted me again and handed the files.

"These are the last files that you need to see for today sir Leo, afterwards I'll check in with the other departments if there are still leftover files that needs to be reviewed by you immediately. Also sir, mr. Luca called in to ask whether you're meeting him today or not. He also said that he truly needs to talk to you about an urgent matter today." Andrea said to me after placing the file on to my table. I wonder what Luca wants to talk to me about. Also why in the world would it be so urgent that it needs my attention right now.

I leaned my back on to my chair thinking deeply and kept humming. I paused for a bit and stared into the air to process my train of thoughts more then I cleared my throat and looked back at Andrea. She looks at me, eyes full of anticipation as if waiting for me what to say to her. "Tell Luca, I'll be meeting him within 30 mins to an hour. It's quite traffic so I think it'll take me some time to be driving down. Also, do tell him I'll go straight into his office so he better prepare some food for me. My time is literally precious, I cannot afford to waste it." I said to her as I start fixing the files she just gave me and organized it by projects in order to not mix it to other files.

Andrea nods to what I just asked her to do, "Okay noted sir, is there anything else you would like me to do or relay to mr. Luca?" She asks me for the last time to make sure everything is good to go. "No, there's nothing else Andrea. You may go home now, Thank you" I said to her and she bowed for a bit then left my office. I sigh out of exhaustion and placed the organized files into my drawers and just took one file with me. I'm planning to finish this one ASAP. I closed my laptop and took my car keys and went straight into my car and drove off to see Luca.

After driving for a good 30 mins, I've finally arrived at Luca's Office/ house. Luca is a detective but he doesn't really stay in the precinct cause he doesn't like to do so. He says it can be really stuffy, noisy and annoying. Plus people can be nosey, which something he hates a lot. I parked my car right in the parking lot. I turned my car off then stepped out. I walked towards his house and pressed the door bell. "Luca, I'm here. Open the door" I said in a clear and loud voice in case he didn't hear me. It took about 20 secs then the door opened and I was greeted by Luca who obviously looks tired and hasn't slept at all.

"Hey Leo, it's been a while. Come in bro, let's talk inside." He said to me and opened the door wider for me to get in. I walked into his house and he closed the door behind us. I sat at the couch, while he took some food he just ordered and placed it down on the table in front of us. "Here's the food, you said you wanted to eat so there you" He said to me in an ever so lazy voice. Classic Luca.

"Ha ha ha ha very funny. I do realize I said that but, do tell me what's the reason you asked me to come here. I still have important things to be attending to Luca" I said to him seriously. He sighs and rubs his face with both of his palms then he begins to talk about why he asked me to be here.

"You remember the news from earlier in the morning?" He asks me. I looked at him confusingly, "Of course I do remember why do you ask? Also what does that have to do with me?" I asked him, why would he even call me for something like this

He took a brown envelope from the drawer and took the contents out. He places the files in front of me and in particular I saw a picture. He pushes the picture closer to me as if gesturing me to look at it. It was a picture of the CCTV footage from last night and the supposedly blurred suspect. But isn't this?-
