MICAH'S POV

I held onto Lovette’s hand while the healer tried to save her life. She wasn’t getting any better. Hayden stood by the door with a frown on his lips as he stared at his sister.

I still couldn't believe that he said My mate, Lovette was his sister. Hayden left the room, and after a few minutes, he came back.

“Micah,” he said my name, and I frowned as I looked at him. He is the reason my mate is on this bed, fighting for her life.

It felt wrong as I left my mate's hand and followed Hayden out of the room. We stood outside the door, looking at each other, and I had my hands crossed over my chest.

“I will give you my blood,” he said after a heartbeat. “Only because I know that mates can help heal each other,” he added.

I frowned again. Of course, I was delighted to finally get his blood after all these months, but the only reason this was happening was because of my mate.
