Episode 8

A few weeks later.

The wedding day had arrived. Rows of chairs and tables were neatly arranged in harmony. White flowers adorned the area beautifully. The entire wedding decoration theme was pure white.

The bride walked gracefully in her white wedding gown. The crowd fell into silence. She looked stunning in her bridal dress.

It was Keona. Today was the best day of her life  the day she would marry an Alpha and become a queen. By her side, her close friends Blaire and Alexa tossed white flowers in her direction.

On the other side, a man stood waiting at the end of the aisle where the ceremony would be officiated. He looked cold, his gaze fixed straight ahead.

Everyone was mesmerized by Keona’s beauty. Her red hair, partly curled, swayed softly in the wind.

Finally, the bride reached the altar where the groom stood. Keona gazed in awe at Zach, who looked at her coldly on their happiest day not with love, but with indifference. Zach reached out to hold Keona’s hand. Her cheeks flushed red. They faced each other.

“Do you both vow to live and die together? In front of all these witnesses, will you swear eternal loyalty to one another?” the officiant recited, beginning the sacred vows.

“I, Zachary Philippe, vow to live and die with her, to accept her with all her flaws, to love—”

“Wait!”

The sacred atmosphere shattered instantly when a voice interrupted the vows. Everyone turned to find the source of the bold interruption that had dared to ruin the ceremony.

“What is going on?” Luna Amarylis reacted, rising from her seat with a puzzled expression.

“This wedding cannot take place.”

It was Kath her body covered in wounds, her clothes torn in several places.

“Who are you?” Luna Amarylis raised an eyebrow and stepped closer to Kath.

“I am Alpha Zach’s mate.”

Gasps rippled through the crowd. Everyone was shocked beyond words. They looked around, murmuring in disbelief. How could Kath the lowly girl who was often humiliated be the mate of an Alpha?

“He marked me.”

That statement caused an even greater uproar, even shocking Luna Amarylis herself.

“What???” Luna’s body staggered backward, her knees weakening.

“How could that be…” she muttered faintly.

“Alpha…” Luna Amarylis turned toward her son, who stood silently, saying nothing.

“And she, Keona she tried to get rid of me by hurting me. She locked me up with her two wretched friends, Blaire and Alexa. Keona is nothing but deceitful!” Kath pointed at Keona, who shook her head frantically in fear.

“I– I…” Keona bowed her head, clenching her fists. The people around them pitied her deeply the beloved Keona of the pack.

“Stop pretending to be innocent! You’re the real villain!” Kath shouted at her own sister, no longer fooled by her act.

“Enough!!”

Suddenly, a loud voice broke through it was Alpha Zach.

Kath felt a spark of hope when Zach stepped toward her. She thought he was going to acknowledge her as his marked mate. But instead, Zach grabbed her by the throat and lifted her off the ground.

Zach’s eyes widened. He quickly released her neck, guilt and anger battling within him. Zean, the wolf inside his head, kept screaming and cursing him.

Kath collapsed to the ground in fear as Anna rushed to help her up.

“I, Alpha Zach, reject you and banish you from this pack.”

Kath looked at Zach in disbelief. Zach? Rejecting her?

“No!!! Luna, please you have to believe me! I am Zach’s mate!” Kath cried, stumbling toward Luna Amarylis, who stood frozen.

“Is that true?” Luna Amarylis touched Kath’s hand gently, her heart aching. She remembered her son’s words about loving another girl. Was this the one?

“Guards, take her away,” Alpha Zach ordered coldly.

Luna Amarylis shook her head.

“Stop!” Kath’s scream echoed through the area. Two guards seized her, holding her as she struggled violently.

Far behind them, Keona smirked at the chaos. She thought she was doomed, but instead, Kath had destroyed herself reckless and foolish.

Keona signaled with her eyes for her two friends to follow where the guards were taking Kath.

“Throw her out.”

“Throw her out!”

The entire pack, gathered at the Alpha’s wedding, began shouting for Kath to leave.

Rotten fruit flew toward her. Some people hurled them in anger. Anna tried to shield Kath, but her hair became drenched and filthy.

The guards dragged Kath farther away while Anna chased after them, but she couldn’t catch up.

“Where should we dump her?” one of the guards asked, unsure of what to do.

“Let me go! I am your Alpha’s mate you’ll be punished for—” Kath’s words were cut off.

“Shut up!” one guard barked.

“Hey, you two.” A voice came from behind them.

“Blaire, Alexa?”

“Leave her to us. We’ll handle it. Go enjoy yourselves I’ve arranged two women for you in the warehouse.”

“Arghhh…!!! That hurts so much!” Kath screamed as one of the guards threw her to the ground. The two men exchanged grins and walked off, eager for their reward.

Once they were gone, Blaire approached the battered Kath and slapped her hard across the face, leaving a gash along her cheek.

Alexa gripped Kath’s chin tightly, her manicured nails digging into her skin.

“You’re disgusting,” Alexa hissed with disgust.

“Alexa, make sure there’s nothing but a cliff below,” Blaire ordered.

“Clear,” Alexa confirmed after glancing over the edge.

“Let go of me!” Kath struggled as Blaire and Alexa held her arms. She wanted to fight back, but she was too weak.

“Nooo!” Kath screamed as they shoved her off the cliff for the second time. Was her life truly that worthless? Tears streamed from her eyes as she fell through the air.

Her body hit the ground hard. Her bones might have shattered. It hurt so much.

Kath closed her eyes slowly, realizing how cruel the world could be. Her hands clenched tightly.

She would make them pay.

She swore their blood would be on her hands.
