Chapter 24

I throw some rock at the lake and just stare at the horizon blankly. I switch my gaze to the moon that reflects from the water. I heard footsteps coming but I didn’t turn back, I kept looking at the water. Then I see Blake's reflection from the water.

The two of us didn’t utter a single word. Silence surrounded us, only the sound of cricket that we both heard.

"If you want to ask about what I said, you better not cause I won’t explain anything," I said coldly. I heard Blake sighed.

"I’m not going to ask anything. I’m here to see if you are okay."
