PROLOGUE

Nung nawala siya sa buhay ko, my life has been miserable. I don’t have someone to comfort me anymore, no one will kiss her forehead anymore. Wala ng hahalik sa mga paa niya na para bang siya lamang ang sinasamba nito. Nagsisisi ako kung bakit hinayaan na hanggang don nalang kami.

After that incident in the house, nakita niya nalang ang sarili na nakaupo na sa var stool. I don’t even know how I got here. Maybe I just feel like drinking something hard to make me forget all of this.

“Whach anak omma?” My third born daughter Lila asked. I giggled when I heard her conyo voice. I was thinking of pinching her cubby cheeks. But I can’t, nasa Los Angeles pa rin sila.

“Momma pashalobong ‘pow, ah?” the second in my triplets, Allie.

I nodded and laughed. “Sure girls, wait for momma ‘ha?”

“What about daddy?” they asked. I bit my lower lip. I always find it hard to lie, lalo na at mga anak ko ‘to. “I-I.. Y-Your dad is busy at w-work kasi e..”

“Oh.. wreally? Tell dad that we love him nalang pow momma.” Lila said and after that she giggled.

“Sure.. be good okay.”

“Aye aye captain!”

Tumayo na ako at tinapos lang ang ilang shots bago lumabas at umalis na. Iginala ko ang tingin sa parking lots at hinanap kung saan niya ba nai-park ang McLaren Speedtail niya. Bagong sasakyan niya pa naman ‘yon. Nang makita niya ang sasakyan nNita pinatunog niya muna ito bago siya maglakad papasok dito at paandarin na ito.

Dali-dali kong itinigil sa gilid ang sasakyan ko at nagmamadaling sinipat ito. I can see how cruel the damage is in my car. Kahit pa gasgas lang ‘to, may damage pa ‘rin ang car ko

Huminga ako ng mamalim bago pinakawalan ang mga salita na gustong kumawala sa bibig ko kanina ‘pa. “You, fucking irresponsible driver! Don’t you have an eye?! My baby has a scratch right now because of you!” Turo ko sa lalaking nasa harapan ko.

Ngunit napatigil ako ng mapagtanto kung sino ang lalaking nasa harapan ‘nya mismo ngayon.

“Miss?”

“E-Elias..”

He gave me a confused look. “Yeah how did you know my name?”

“No freaking way…” I asked out of nowhere, tulala sa kanya at hindi makapaniwala.

I whispered curses.

“Miss?” he uttered in using his cold tone that he used a lot when he was talking to me back then. “Look miss I’m sorry for messing up your car, how much do you want me to pay you?”
